Hello everyone, I'm trying to track down a 308 I saw on ebay a couple of years ago. Forgive me if I'm vague on the description, but I don't remember much. I do remember thinking at the time that it was the nicest 308 I'd seen. It had a lot of work done to it. Very little was visual, other than updated wheels (also Ferrari, I think). It had programmable fuel injection and some internal engine work for a moderate increase in hp with reliability in mind. It also had some interior racing parts like seats and harness as the car was tracked occasionally. The owner was an avid Ferrari enthusiast and president of his local Ferrari club. The car sold on ebay for about the same as a nice stock 308.

I know it's not much to go by but I figured I'd try anyway. I'd like to get some ideas, pick the builder/tuner's brain, or better yet just buy that one in particular if it's ever for sale :)

    Thanks.

If the car you are referring to is Sera Blue, it's probably mine.

    Pad,
Did yours come from Colorado? If so I shopped that car some years back also, but not on Ebay. It was for sale with a trailer for a pretty good price. I of course did not buy it but have wondered alot about it and where it went. I thought it had a roll bar or cage.

Did it by chance happen to the this one? http://www.enjoythetrack.com/ferrari/

The wing was added later. Sold very recently to an FChatter I believe, former owner is an FChatter.

    Bill,

Yes, the car lived in Colorado before I got it. Actually, I friend of mine purchased it via eBay. When he got it, it hardly ran. I ended up with the car and redesigned (Electromotive) the engine management system to get it to run. I have since completely rebuilt the engine, trans, suspension, wiring, and last winter, had the body completely redone. Yes, this car has a 4 point roll bar welded in. I use the car primarily for track events. Do you know anything about the history of this car? I know it ran in several long distance races, but I do not have any specifics.

It's a longshot, but I'll dig around my book shelves to see if I can find the flyer and info the seller mailed to me back then. Must have been mid 90's. I never throw anything Ferrari related away. I remember he was pretty high on his fuel management system, which he said was built from GM components. If I can find the info for you, maybe the guy will still have the same phone #.
