    I’m rebuilding the intake manifold on my 3500 GTI and one of the three brass control rods for the butterfly valves (tuning flaps) is in bad shape. I’m trying to repair it with silver solder but it is getting brittle and the heat causes the existing micro-cracks to break. If anyone knows of a spare or if these parts were used on other cars I would appreciate it.
