Anyone know where I can find some good stats or information on how much of the wealthy class is "self-made", and how much is "inherited"?

Let me guess, four fried chickens and a Coke?

But in Mark's case, I'm guessing they're just chicken wings and a Diet Coke.

Seems to me the "Millionare Next Door" series had a fair bit of academic research results on where the Millionaire types came from - with the majority being self-made self-employed "labourer" type jobs (plumbing/electricians etc....).

Not sure "Millionaire" status qualifies as Wealthy. imo - $1m/month income is wealthy, or maybe it's just anybody making 100x what I'm making.

    That Pic is priceless, but

but where did you get the heraldic shield? I'm thinking that may be a really good business to meet up and coming rich people. You know, you could put an ad in the back of the Robb Report-

Self-Made, but Still Feeling Empty? Riches at Your Fingertips, but Nowhere to Go? Seen it All, and Wonder what else Life Has To Offer the Rich Entrepeneur?
Yes, it's true. Even rich people feel worthless sometimes. Well, maybe not as worthless as you feel, but trust me, being at the top of the world in business, in the boardroom, and in your private jet may still not be enough.
The french called in ennui. The English usually got gout when this happened. In Eastern Europe, they do even stranger things, and eat them. But, the one, surefire way to really know you made it is to have a title, as in 'titled nobility.'
Now, i know that sometimes the grocery bagger, and the shoeshine boy will address you as 'Sir', but it's not the same as being a Count, or a Duke, or an Earl. Trust me. Women tend to swoon over guys who are titled nobility. It's been scientifically proven. When you turn up at the casino, and they refer to you as the Count, or the Earl, or the Duke, suddenly life takes on real meaning. Colors get deeper. Your drink tastes better. The room begins to look like a set from a James Bond movie, and you haven't even lifted a pinkie.

Titled Nobility doesn't come cheap. But, neither do you. For more information, contact MarkPDX on his helicopter phone @_________. Should the line prove to be unavailable, don't worry. There is probably just a massive influx of calls from other really rich people, trying to place their order for a Dukedom, an Earldom, or a Count, ah hem. But, act fast. There is a limited supply, and there are alot of really needy rich people out there.

Damn Bill, you should have gone into business writing copy and not depositions.

Or are you bored with your stack of cash too?

A measly $1 mil a year from interest and dividends would make me feel rich enough...that would take $20 mil in principal earning a safe 5%.
