I just bought a set of 4, although I really only needed one. I had a hard time finding any at all. The usual sources seem to be drying up.

This forum is probably as good a place as any to find them. The last reply to this thread http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=132252&highlight=speedline is a guy offering a set for $4k, which is way too much for me.

The other thing to keep in mind is that most of these wheels have had pretty rough lives and while you can refinish and straighten most of them, some are bent pretty badly at the hub.

    Good luck,

    Mark

Ok, thanks for that, mine are practically brand new (bought them brand new) and only used them for a few months with less than 200km on them.... may keep them given their rarity and condition.

Market price seems all over the place on these. Is it based on whether they were used for racing, new etc or just that there is no real market price? Would like to know as I am considering selling if the price is right, if too low then may just keep them. Thnks.

I got'a believe they are worth what somebody will pay on a given day...

I have seen lots of sets sell over the last few years for waaaaay under $4k. Condition will effect price but I think the bigger factor is that there are not alot of them on the market today, which is to say that next week 3 sets might become availible.

I think as the 355 gets longer in the tooth - you will just see fewer of them trading. That does not mean there are fewer around, there just sitting in garages getting forgotten about, now that the 355 is no longer the flavor of the month.

Keep an eye out for them to come up for sale for sure, but I think the smart money will ask around for a set that is not for sale - just collecting dust in somebodies garage, make 'em an offer and take them off thier hands.

The bad news is if you are jonesing for a set today....you'll pay what ever somebody is asking if you want them bad enough.

    :)
