    Curious as to why two of the photos are of a red TR, including one of the VIN plate.

    The emission label under the hood does not match the VIN plate in the door. The VIN plate in the door is from a red car. One of the 2 engine bay shots is for a red car. The engine bay shot for a white car looks like crap. The interior shots are not good and none show the drivers seat or dash condition, both problem areas for cars not well taken care of. It has aftermarket wheels and a poorly repaired front spoiler. The say it had a water pump rebuild since it had a major service in 2016. The pump can only be done with the motor out so I don't believe it.

    Car is a 7 out of ten and they are either not very good at their job or they are hiding shortcomings of the car.

    You say you're looking for thoughts on this car? I don't understand all this smoke and mirrors about the red car and the white car, but the link in the first post to the white car doesn't show any pics of any red cars so I'm confused. But, the white car is WAY over priced. Should be sub $100k

    Yeah photos of red car in he ad. Also odometer is showing 36k not 28k. It's a fishy ad. Pass and keep looking. I do like the wheels. I think those are HRE 505's.

    Yeah, the whole ad seems strange. Please let me know if you see any white TR's under $100K, though. Would be interested in cars with less than 30K miles

    OK, now I see page 2. If you go to their website and view their inventory you see that they have 2 TR's. A red and a white. I think someone just mixed up pics and too lazy to see it or do anything about it.

    price dropped to $123,800 Still way too high for me but you would think that all the money that is being made out there in Silicon Valley that this car woulda been snapped up by now

    I know the car and the owner.
    This guy is nice but a total joke.
    He owns this TR as his personal and put it for sale. He has crazy prices.
    I almost bought the red one from him he wanted 96k back then: hood latches not working, 3 year old service, 37k, glove box not working. I gave him 90k. It was march 17, turned down, he then fully serviced the car; wants 114k now and 14 months have passed and car is still not sold lol.
    Clutch was hard as hell, could not engage second back then.
    The white one is his.
    In 12 months i bought a TR and sold it! His has not moved. Let that sink in.
    Crazy prices. Aside stellar example a good tr with 20-30k and service have not gone up still 90-100k max. I know trust me.
    They sit and don’t sell!

    I told him last week the sweet spot these days is 100k and he still hasn’t sold the red one. He is a great guy. Wait a few months he will sell it;) he has a lot of car himself!

    Another price drop on this white 28K mile TR to $116.8K

    A fellow F chatter (who knows these cars WAY better than me) thinks that the car may have been repainted based on the door jams not being the correct color. Any other thoughts on that?

    By the way, earlier in this link there was a post of some guy “potentially buying this car within the next 24 hours” back in 2015.
    He never finished any more posts though. Wonder why he walked away?

    I am the current owner. Rarely go to this forum and didn't realize there's such a robust discussion on my car! Bought it last year so not sure what happened in 2015.
