I have not made an offer on the car because I really don’t know anything about it other than what is the sales ad. Natkingcole sent me the owner’s phone number so I will try to call him this afternoon.
I am not a Vendor at Ferrari Chat, but this is my personal car so just a couple of comments: 1. Paint - see attached Paint Meter Report 2. Pricing - I don't even haggle for the dealership cars and certainly do not plan to do so with my own. However, feel free to make me an offer with justification (comparable sales etc.)
Hi Mr Wonder- Thank you for your post. For some reason I could only get one of the attachments to open. The paint meter reading (was there a date on that piece?). I assume this is your car? https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?listingId=475632528&zip=53211&referrer=%2Fcars-for-sale%2Fsearchresults.xhtml%3Fzip%3D53211%26startYear%3D1981%26sortBy%3DderivedpriceDESC%26incremental%3Dall%26firstRecord%3D0%26endYear%3D2019%26modelCodeList%3DTEST%26makeCodeList%3DFER%26searchRadius%3D0&startYear=1981&numRecords=25&firstRecord=0&endYear=2019&modelCodeList=TEST&makeCodeList=FER&searchRadius=0&makeCode1=FER&modelCode1=TEST
That's my Baby! I uploaded the Paint Meter Report (which was done just this week at the request of a potential buyer from FL) under the post right before yours. If you cannot retrieve it, please PM your e-mail address
It was done in late 2016, by the previous Collector owner who became a good friend through this transaction. I have all invoices and extensive pictures.
Yes Sir! I traded it plus cash to a Client for his Diablo (my bucket list car ), Client is not a Ferrari person and asked me to flip it for him. He is motivated to move and hence the price drop. I'm obviouly biased, but someone is getting an awesome ride. Drives me nuts that I stare at it all day and can no longer drive it
Might be your opportunity Parnelli! Specially in this soft market. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I am at the airport getting ready to board a flight to Paris for the next week. Just a few questions about this car. Now that you traded the car to somebody else ....whose name is on the title? Last we spoke it was still titled In the name of the person that Mr. wonder bought it from a couple of years ago. Still looking for further details on that “full engine out” service done in ‘16. How much did it cost and what exactly did it entail?
Please PM and remind me which is your e-mail address. Two folks from this thread contacted me and I kind of lost track of who's who
Full disclosure: I shared Client's minimum net to two serious buyers. I will offer that Net to recurring Clients and waive my fees, and will consider reducing/waiving fees for someone with a trade. I will unlikely waive my fee to a first time buyer just to build a relationship (got rent to pay )
Full disclosure i refered u one of those clients so if he buys it i want my cut) kidding Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Update: Client is ready to move on, so I reduced price one more time and it is scheduled for Bring A Trailer.
As market indicater, this Black one with similar miles and condition sold at $89K including fees. I am hoping that mine goes higher on account of the iconic color, but we'll see! https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1988-ferrari-testarossa-7/
Officially it actually sold for $85K (buyer pays a fee to BAT, too). The black one just had the $15K "full engine out" just two years ago. Good luck on your sale....it's a beauty
Good luck with the sale steven! Seems like market is slowing down. Fyi sold my red 88tr in march,26k miles, tons of records, for about 10k more than that black one so i think prices should be in that range. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
