I think I have narrowed my choice of track tires down to 3. I am limited by my rim size to 16" so that left out some tire brands as they were not available.

The 3 I am considering in order are:
    1)Michelin Pilot Sport Cup
    2)Yokohama Advan A048
    3)Kumho ECSTA V710

I am favoring the michelins but after what they did to us fans at last years F1 race....

I love Kumho's, I think they're a great bang for the buck. At a 16" rim, take a look at the Fuzions...silly name, but it's a rebranded Bridgestone and quite nice - good longevity and pretty sticky to boot. As good as the Yoko's I've had in the past (AVS pre sports mostly) and much more durable. The Michelins are the best for longevity and durability, but generally won't last twice as long despite being (normally) twice the price of a comparable, so I generally don't bother.

I eliminated slicks from my search mainly because I do not intend to drive my car hard enough to get them working properly. I want to have fun with my car but don't want to hurt it. Secondly I am concerned that slicks may only last 1-3 track days.
