    Guys,

I am looking for a set of Schedoni luggage for my TR.

Either a full or partial set.

I just missed a set recently so I'm starting to really look again.

    TIA for any leads, etc.

Color? Testarossa or 512TR? Given same condition, number of pieces, most pricey is 'black TR', least pricey is 'tan testarossa'. Black TR is understandably difficult to find.

Keep an eye on EBAY. They pop up from time to time (thats how I got mine). Expect to pay 2500-3000 for a complete 6 peice set.

A set just slipped through my fingers that sold for a "best offer" of $1500...doh!

You are correct however on the usualy price for a set.

    Still Looking.....

I'm new... do they make "black" version of the luggage? What colors are available?

I'm just learning about TR luggage myself...but yes, they did make black and also apparently two different shades of brown / tan.

Oh crap! Now I need to find a black set. I guess I may be back in the dog house for spending furniture $. Leads are appreciated.

Have an absolutely mint black set for a 512TR. Bags, keys, all unquestionably 'as new'. I have considered selling the 4 pieces (all the trunk pieces - two big bags, two 'train' bags) to free up a little room in my shop. PM if interested.

There is a difference between the 512TR luggage and the Testarossa? Would be nice to have a black luggage for the Testarossa :)

    Cheers

I acquired a complete set (6 pieces) of tan luggage for my earlier car, a TR. Complete with keys and dust covers. I used them occasionally.

Now I have a 512 and althought the four trunk pieces still fit, I've noticed that the two pieces to fit on the ledge behind the rear seats, do not sit comfortably within the width of that ledge. They have a slight overhang.

Apart from the blank embossing on the hides, is this the main difference between the two sets, i.e. that the 512 luggage may be slimmer in order to accomodate a slimmer ledge ?

I believe that's correct, because the Motronic ECU's take up that depth. My understanding is that the trunk pieces are configured differently due to no spare, so possibly larger than the testarossa pieces. Plus the 512 luggage is embossed '512TR'.

Thanks for that information. I might try to swap the sets here in the UK.

It looks like the 512 is very different than an early ... 1990 Testarossa, my car. I do not have the same size/space behind my seats. I wouldn't mind a set of luggage but, quite frankly, I'll never use it as the TR is not my choice of vehicles for a vacation. : )
    Cheers,
    Bob

    OUCH... too hot!!! LOL
No, my vacations involve off road, real off road, in the mountains out west (west of Indiana). The TR is not good off road choice. If I go on vacation with my wife, that is a different story. She is a "beach queen" and has always love sunshine and the ocean. The TR should do well there, except I would need a trailer hitch for the U-Haul needed for her luggage... crap, if my daughter cam along we would need a semi. : )
