I'm looking for seats in section H, preferably more towards the J section and as high as possible. Everything is sold out from the Speedway except the first couple rows.

I found a dealer that will sell me 8 seats at $147 each and 20 at $142.

I need at least 4 seats, but may be interested in a block of seats up to 20-30.

Anyone know a contact for better prices than these? I think the retail is $105.

Are the FCA seats available yet?

    Thank you,
    rob

    Rob,

I checked the http://www.fca-cic.org site and they have nothing listed. This year i am going to use GA tickets since i will be lugging around all my photo gear it will allow mw to roam the tracks fence line to shoot.

If only i can find someone with connections in the press that could use an extra photographer or asssistant for the Canadian and USGP's ;)

    Hi Rob,

On the Indy website they have tickets @ 105 each (4 together) in Row E.

We've purchased from www.gpticketshop.com many times for various F1 locations and have always been very pleased. They are showing H at USD 126 plus a 5% commission. You might email Marc directly if you wanted more information from them - [email protected]

We're in tower terrace across from the podium (pretty high up) - good view and across from a tv. FYI, box lunch orders are not being taken yet and the Car Corral pass forms haven't been sent out either.

Thank you Carol. I called Indy last week and they said only the first couple rows in H were still available. I'll check the website and call Marc too. The past two years we were up in the Penthouse seats across the track from the podium and Ferrari pits, but this year I want to get down first hand into the action.

Neat photo - hey, I recognized Greg!

Our preference for seats at any of the races is either at a hairpin turn or first turn. We've had some good seats lower in Tower Terrace at the end of the exit from pit lane.

    Good luck with your search!

Getting anxious for the season to begin :)

rob, i've been sitting in the first row above the entrance to the stands for years. the view is fine. you can see all the way across the track. there doesn't seem to be more to see higher. we're right across from the tv. and you dont have to hump them steps. last year when alonso crashed stryofoam almost landed in our lap. plus when you turn around to look up in the stands you can see up girls dresses, oh yea, and up guys pants too. also when we get that big ferrari shield banner you can anchor the bottom..

Now that is NOT a corn fed local!

Rob, I have seats 1-8, row AA in H, right next to J. surrounded by Ferrari Club and porsche club guys. did have 1-12 but it was hard to move the extras some years.

Quite possible may have 4 to sell, $125 each at least 2 available. Scalpers get $140 locally, the row behind me are always scalped punters.

I have a friend lives outside Turn 4 oval, so we park close/free. Drive in about 8:30, home by 4:00!

How long do they give you each year whether to keep the same seats or not?

Used to be that people renewed the next day. But you can safely get the same seats if you send in within a month. they take your money at that time too! I had these since the inaugral race and plan on the same spot for the bikes when they come.
The NorthWest vista has some great views although further away from the track.

Rob, I know this isn't always the most ideal situation for some people, but if you and your group are comfortable waiting til you get there, you should be able to find whatever you want, or close to it, down in Indy. And without the ridiculous upcharges you're sure to pay this far in advance. Between the GP, the Indy 500 and Montreal we've bought tickets in advance only a couple times in the last 15+ years and always end up with great seats reasonably priced. Something to consider.

If only for 2-4 people I would go for it, but I was trying to get a larger block together.

Anyone tell me the perfect seats in H? I know they're all good, but what sections are best? I would think right at the apex which looks about 2/3rds the way down to the North in H. Also how high do the rows go? JJ?

Finally, if anyone has 5-6 seats available in this section, please let me know.

The following pointer supposedly shows where section 5 in H is. So if this is correct, down 10-15 or so is about the apex? Anyone know how many sections are in H?

    Thanks,
    rob

    Rob,
My seats have always been in row KK in H, and there are one or two rows above me to the fence. Was too late in renewal and lost 'em for the first time, so I'll be lower, but still further north than your arrow. Section 22 I think. If you can find my photos from my 1-13-04 post about the 03 race you can see the exact view from H-22-KK.

Thanks. Great info, I told the ticket finder I wanted at least AA, so that is good, but I should have said Section 15+ instead of just 10+.

Can you please post a couple pics from your old seats here?

    Thanks,
    rob

I gave you 2.5 more Mb, but you may have exceeded that already before I put the limitation in. You can try and if still blocked, just email them to me at rlay -at- ferrarichat.com.

    Thanks!

I think you may have sorta touched on this, but I don't think that track map is 100% accurate on the grandstands, my tickets in H don't feel like where they would be on the map...

That's what we need to work out is who's where in H this year! :)
