You have to start with a lofty price.

With that, the customer will feel good, when a discount is offered :)

    I agree.

    The price is too much

    it is a bit hi...
but if is all ok it may be worth looking into it...
buying the 90k$ one in "need of a few wock" may be more expensive in the end! ;)

I recommend buying 'up' and grab that DD. As long as it is a 'worthy' example.

The carb DD is the way to go of the 2. But I got to say that the 500S at 129K can be had for a bit less if indeed it is guaranteed 8K mile and it is as perfect as it says.

I am not seing a lot of carb cars and Not seing them getting hit by the recession.
The sub $100K are left to injected and many anniv cars.
Anyway , you cannot go wrong with any carb countach these days unless you want just a daily "beater" to put a lots of miles on

That DD in Carolina was priced at $189K last summer, and is at $165K now... I also think it is a consignment car, but I could be wrong. If it is, there might be some more negotiating room in the price...

Over the past year it seems the consensus is that LP400, Lowbodies and DD's are the holy trinity of Countach, holding more value and appreciating more/faster in times of economic growth... I'm surprised the Carolina car has sat this long.

That was Steve Lefferts old car and he took great care of it and told me at the countach reunion that he missed it and always regretted selling it a little.

  11. I think your old car is in Hemmings?

I think you are correct, I just checked the ad. If ANYONE wants an amazing, easily one of the best on the planet, example of a CT, better hurry on that one, ad is correct, there is none finer and I don't even own her anymore.

...there is a tragic story behind it and I am not sure who is owner/seller, but I have a good idea, if anyone is serious about buying it, I might share, but you will have to pm me.
