So much comes down to person preference but my here are my feelings having owned a 996 Turbo, 348 spider, 355 gts, and currently own a 550, and 430 Spider F1, I also have experience with multiple 360’s (F1 and manual) as well as a 512 TR:

2002 996 Turbo 6 speed with Bilstein PSS3 coilovers- felt like a high speed appliance

1994 348 spider- 93 SS and 94/95 cars are decidedly better with lower gears(more power at lower revs)and better suspension from earlier 348’s, it’s punchy and direct with tons of feedback through the unassisted steering and sounds great. I drove a challenge coupe(street version) back to back with a 355 and liked the 348 more.

1997 355 GTS- Beautiful car and sounds amazing but feels very under powered at low revs, so fun on the track but frustrating on the street. Mine also suffered from the common problem with a sticky throttle. The power steering also lacks much of the feel of the 348.

360 with a manual - The F1 cars I don’t like but the manual cars are a treat to drive, it’s a much more delicate car compared to the 430 and is a great value proposition.

2008 430 spider- Feels noticeable more powerful everywhere over the 360 also feel more planted and sounds amazing, I feel like it’s just the right amount of power for the street and the 08, 09 cars are more sorted with better F1 software and carbon ceramic brakes standard.

512 TR- Iconic looks. The engine is turbine smooth and powerful but it could be one of the more expensive of the cars to run and it lacks the all around performance envelope of the 550

550- The last of a generation. IMO one of the most beautiful and timeless designs from Ferrari and like the 430 has more than enough power and handling levels for the street. The true capability of these cars shows when you get them on a track and they are so poised and unflappable.

    Good luck.

Well, as I stated in my other thread in the 355 forum, I bought that 355! I can't wait for it to get here so I can immediately drop it off at a shop. Ahhh Ferrari ownership :)
