From my research looks like 360 and 430 are least expensive to maintain based on repairs. Is that accurate?

I own neither but from my research, the 430 would be easier to maintain given that the engine doesn't need to be removed for service. There are obviously known issues with 430s (steering linkage etc)....but that engine out factor has to be more expensive over all. Am I right, 360/430 owners??

No, the engine does not need to come out for the 360 service either.

One has belts, one has chains.

Both are pretty robust and straight forward. 430, obviously check exhaust headers and with both make sure both twin turbo's make at least 28lbs of boost at 19psi. Turn it up!

lol no worries man. He should research a bit harder though. The nuances are easily known with reading a few threads.

430 manual by far. 360 has belts with near 5-digit majors and 458 has more electronics/F1.

No, a 328 would cost less to maintain long term and have lower total ownership cost.

Here is where the OP torpedoed his own thread. You need to provide more context, budget, what models you are considering etc.

Lots of good advice in your original post in Feb 2017 (including fill out your profile) too but for overall cost I agree with Shark01: 328

Manual gearbox should be less expensive/troublesome in the long term.Perhaps even hold value better than F1.

430 quite a premium still for that , 360 not so much so far.

What is your budget? If you can stretch to the 430 go for it ,otherwise the 360.

Don’t flame me, but what about a nice California...... still under the 7-year service plan, warrantied, and weirdly ignored by many.. believe me, it’s a true ferrari, versatile with its coupe/cabriolet looks, goes like a rat up a drainpipe, and very good build quality.

#1 dont get a Ferrari if you "MUST" be on a budget....360 is very reliable and the major belt service is around $2500 as the engine DOES NOT need to come out, there is an access panel in the rear. If you go with a 360 or 430 Just make sure to budget for new headers/cats because these are a known issue on those cars (dealing with that rite now) $7-$8k You could also have the headers and cats inspected maybe they will be fine on the cars you are looking at, however i've heard that sooner or later they will develop problems, you can search regarding that on the forums

    hey mate.... not bad, u?

f1 section is quiet as a church... I heard they have been able to meditate about Elton in there! It’s a safe zone for the Merc fans, almost tifosi free, just what they wanted

Both 328 and 360 are relatively cheap, I can say the 328 is very cheap to maintain in Ferrari terms. Even cheaper than the 360. In eight years or so both cars have been very reliable, IF driven regularly: that’s the key.

Horrible advice IMO, having a reasonable budget that takes a person's financial position and goals into consideration is very helpful.

I could walk into a dealer and come out with a Pista level car very easily....and I'm like a poor church mouse compared to most of you....but the amount I would have to borrow wouldn't be in my best interest financially.

so you are agreeing with me but telling me its horrible advice? This guy wants to buy a cheap car and if he has to be on a strict budget its probably not a good idea to get a ferrari..what my post means is don't get in over your head, not sure exactly how you interpreted it
