So which one is it Jon? Do you want me to continue, or not.

    Regards, Alberto

PS It appears, that in Dinoland, the door pocket trims have become another fishing frenzy!
I wonder how many thousands will be made...

If they turn out as expected I'd be happy to share them with others working on the same project. I should have about 14 to give away, first come first serve. Heck that's enough for 7 door pockets! The market will be flooded with Dino door pocket center clips.

    Enjoy, Bradley

I have a small number left over from my project as well, free to a good home. Brass, so will need plating.

Bradley likes it. I suspect the OCD among us might nitpick about this and that. Id give the effort a 9.75 out of 10. Did you freehand the center clip? Was the original wire half-round? How did you secure the wire ends? Nice effort.

The wire was half round 3mm nickel. The clip was free handed. The ends of the wire were folded as Mark did behind the pocket. The wire makes the whole look complete very elegant.

How many feet come on the 1 pound roll of 1/2 round 10 gauge nickle wire that Rio Grande sells for $40.? Is it available by the foot?

    Brad,
The roll was way too much, so I ordered from CreatingUnkamen on ETSY. I used 8 gauge, 3mm. The piece was 2' long, perfect size. 20 bucks for 2 pieces.
    Good Luck

To prevent th e nickel from tarnishing, apply MICRO CRYSTALLINE WAXPOLISH by RENAISSANCE.

Received two pieces of 10 gauge dead soft nickle wire from CreatingUnkamen. Initial impression, looks as though 11 or 12 gauge might be a better fit in the door pocket groove and wire feels too dead soft. Going to continue to source wire while waiting for laser-cut clips to arrive.

    Brad,
Sounds like you are going blind with the gauge. You need to see an original, it overlaps the groove? Good Luck

Hi, I recently had an email from O'Rouke Coachtrimmers in the UK announcing they are have good repro pockets for sale:

    Hi Chris,

They are going to be £950 a pair, this may sound like a lot but this project has cost us thousands in time, 3D scanning and CAD drawings just to get to this point. I should have some finished pictures next week of the first one, we are just waiting on the metal strips and final assembly before I sign them off and the first batch can be produced. There is 10 pairs in the first batch with 5 pairs spoken so far.

Please let me know if I can help you any further.

    Kind Regards AJ.
