I am cautiously optimistic.

I like the "five to seven year" part, but I don't much like this part: "...however La Presse also reported that assurances were given by Ecclestone that the agreement can be cancelled if the standards of Formula One are not maintained."

In reality, I am fairly certain that clause is in every agreement for every venue, but I still shiver a little knowing that Bernie has his very ambiguous "out."

 

If you're looking for nailed down and dead cert you'll never find it in F1.

 

I have heard from a source that the deal is essentially finalised!!

In terms of hotels/dates... Ill keep people posted if I can.

I'm currently in Valencia and you wouldn't know that there is a GP in town. VERY different from the street parties in Montreal.
