I noticed on the Looksmart's website, how does one purchase models from them directly? I don't see an online store similar to BBR's online store.

There's going to be a lot of demand for those race F40's.

I like the 1:18 F60. Anyone have any idea how much Looksmart 1:18 models cost?

Not here. I've ordered several Looksmart models and have been quoted around 225 euro per model. BBRs are much more expensive (which is why I don't buy them).

I'm really looking forward to these models! Most of them have been on my wish list for a long time.

Anyone have experience with Looksmart and if they follow up on their promissed future releases in an acceptable period of time (if at all)?

Yap, looksmart are less expensive tha bbr, Mr is the expensive brand of the group, looksmart will retail about 225 as Peter said, i can get them for about 200€
But bbr new line (concept 1/18) will be around the same price.

I am assuming the F40 "TIME version is the #59' "Shell" car. If so, I am in for one. The very first BBR model I purchased, in 1997, was this car. Sold it for twice what I paid for it a few years later. Those were the days..

LookSmart is as unreliable as BBR and others like them. Nice models, but unreliable with releases, and questionable business practices. But nonetheless, they make some nice models .

So I'll just have to be patient then. We'll see how it goes. And by the way, dibs on the plain red F40 LM! :)

Pedro thank you for your message.

Maybe I must explain than betwween MR and BBR that's a fratricidal war...

    To make simple and short:
At the beginning BBR was born in Saronno with four associated : B, B and R (x2).
B for Balestrini, B for Barberis and R for Reali (Nando and Eugidio).
Barberis stopped his collaboration and today logic would like that the company is called BR...
Eugidio Reali (ED) stopped too but he created Looksmart.
At this time commercial competition is about 1/43.

In a second time ED create MR Collection Models for 1/18. His factory is in Geranzano and is separated from 5 kms of BBR factory...

BBR developped a new cheaper line : Blue moon.
The answer of MR is : Looksmart 1/18.

Normaly prices of Looksmart 1/18 and Blue moon are cheaper than MR or BBR.

A last observation the announced prices are just the prices of BBR or MR in the beginning...

Thanks Pat, i noticed that too, i'm pretty sure that in 2 or 3 years, both looksmart and concept !/18 (wich i assume will replace blue moon) will be much more expensive. BBr and Mr are already in the 400, 450€, and as you say they started at 225, 250 with 1/18 models.
problem is if they keep selling everything they build, so they will keep increasing prices, to me the current price of both marques is simply absurd (though if i could i would probably buy from them!!)....a fair price to me is what spark is charging. 150, 170€ would be fair for these 1/18s, already very well paid in my mind...since i can get the bbr/lloksmart and tecnomodel around 200€ i will make an effort to keep buying the ones i really like, but i won't go any further.

According to the manufacturing cost, you're true the fair price must be 150 to 200.
GT Spirit or Otto propose models less finished at 80 €. (Look my next presentation...)
But passion is not the engine for us. Big profit yes.
