Loose Outside Mirror..,,

I had the same problem, I unscrewed the 3 exterior screws to separate the outer mirror assembly. Inside are a couple very small Phillips screws into a soft plastic doughnut shape boss. Those small ones were loose, so I tightened them up and put a small dab of silicone on them to help them from working loose again. This fixed the problem for me.

 

As above, its a 15 minute job to remove the three outer torx screws and tighten the x3 internal small phillips screws - rather than using silicone I removed each in turn & used some red threadlock before screwing back in & tightening.

 

I had some broken plastic where the 3 inner screws attach. I epoxied the areas and re-screwed. All good but I don't fold my mirrors in any more as this stresses the those 3 tiny inner screws.
