If you saw my video on CV boot replacement, I used an impact wrench and an Allen head bit to loosen the bolts. I recently discovered a different technique that seemed to work well at the time - can't guarantee it will work for others, but I thought I would share it.

P.S.: hit 100,000 views of my videos on YouTube recently. Thanks to those who watched. Hope they have helped the Brotherhood.

Paul it's been very helpful as I'm going to be installing my new Hill throw out bearing and flange soon. Thanks.

Paul - Thanks for the all the videos. Even as a 355 owner I find them extremely helpful. I can't imagine having tackled the Gold Kit project without them.

Incidentally, what are you using to record the vids? I'm in the market for a video recorder. Thanks.

Your videos are a winderful resource.
Thanks for taking the time to do them.

Do you find your 348 runs better with the gold connectors installed ...or no real difference?

Paul, great idea with the Allen wrench.

Regarding your videos; I am fairly certain that they have been very helpful to others.

It's a Flipshare camera. Works great with easy editing, so of course they went out of business because everybody uses their smart phones to record video now. Seems if I really like a product or TV show, it will shortly go the way of the dinosaurs.

I was getting the occasional CEL lights with erratic running. The gold kit and 2 generic O2 sensors solved the problems. If your car is running happily, I wouldn't do a gold kit. It is a lot of work with potential for making mistakes, BUT, if you are having gremlins, it is certainly the way to go. The quality of the wire used in the 348 is dismal. When you strip the insulation and you find black crud instead of shiny copper, it's amazing anything works. The lousy plug connectors are well known as is the hilariously lousy connection system for the door wiring into the body of the car. Certainly the weakest part of the car.
