    Los Gatos Auto Mall/Silicon Valley Hummer had an explosion about 10-15 ago. It was the location at Los Gatos Blvd and Lark right off of 17. People are reporting a huge explosion and debris everywhere. I am about 3 miles away and we did not hear it, but a friend that works at Good Sam as an ER tech said they heard it.

    Rumors are it was a gas explosion, as when I called the other location, the parts guy there said they were working on the furnance........

    Wow, scary. Reminds me of that nissan dealership explosion that happened a few months back (not in the bay area, forgot where it was,. but it was all over the net).

    They had contractors working on a water heater and they had disconnected a gas line and it was not closed. The 2 construction workers sustained some burns and 1 employee experienced some "minor injuries." It was said that the dealer was formerly a restaurant.

    Kind of..I think....I see Mark all the time around town with his GF, but not sure if he is still there.

    Before I saw the news report, I had thought it was the Silicon Valley Autogroup (Ferrari of Los Gatos).

    Also, I thought that the restaurant used to be called Karros or something.

    Oh yeah...forgot that part...yes he did. Last I heard he lived at the Valencia Hotel in Santana Row.

    I drove by today and saw a Mercedes G-Wagon inside with the building's roof resting on top of it... I bet it's easily repairable. I *do* wonder what became of the green 456 that was out front and center of the showroom. The destruction is unreal! I first read about this on another forum's NorCal section, but it was NOTHING like what I expected it to be! I just figured there'd be a few broken windows, etc. Looks more like a tornado hit it...

    My friend that works in the ER called and said they set up to be ready for people to come into GS. But, Valley Med has the premier Burn Unit and were all taken there.

    With the closure of SJ Medical Center, Valley is the only trauma center in the So. Bay area... The only other one in S.C. County is Stanford. Although GS is around the corner, it makes sense that they would take them to SCVMC.
