    Question: Why is the edge of the cutout on the body black? Is that some sort of protective molding or has it been painted?

    I post the article and don't notice this.....lol

    That's awesome! I think it's great looking, plus it's not like he's destroyed the car or modified it to a permanent level.

    The 18.6 mpg's is pretty awazing.

    from what I have heard, it has been painted black for aesthetic reasons. i guess it accentuates the body line, or something to that effect.
