On two occasions recently after start up in the morning my 360 would only accelerate at a quite reduced rate in all gears. I warmed it up and still no better. Revs rose, but quite pronounced lack of "go" (almost like it had lost 100bhp or so). Took it home, switched off and tried going out again ; This time it was Perfect !!!! Any ideas why????

possibly L/H crank position sensor not working. your car may only be running on one bank, engine light generally doesn't come on. Have seen this on 430's. Car just doesn't start with the same "kick of revs" when starting. next time it does it, reach down into the engine and disconnect the 4 injector plugs on the L/H bank and see if it makes a difference to the engine running. can get a picture of what to do if your stuck.

This sounds right (as car did NOT start with the same "kick" on that occasion). What is the remedy and does this normally only happen very infrquently or does it become more frequent?

    Thanks.

the only remedy is to replace the sensor (assuming this is what the fault is). its easy got at and doesn't require a vehicle generally to be on a lift. the sensor itself is also usually shimmed so if carrying out the replacement yourself (anyone with half a clue can do this using only a 5mm hex key) watch out for these, as they are easily missed. it might not get any worse and just remain random but the good news i can give you is that it won't happen when your driving. once it has got this signal from startup it doesn't need it again so if engine starts good... it will remain good.
