Has anyone experienced sudden loss of power due to the battery not properly connected?

I started the car yesterday and before I drove off, it suddenly stopped. I tried to restart but no power to the start button… other connected devices such as Garmin windscreen camera were working fine though. I remembered having similar issues a while ago and upon slightly moving the cables on top of the battery, things went back to normal. The connections do not appear loose so I am not sure what the problem is exactly other than being linked to the battery.

Also the battery is a very good one (Odyssey Extreme), less than a year old and has been on tender charger at all time when the car is not driving.

I hear you, but I would still have the battery tested because it sounds exactly like a weak battery.

This happened to me about two weeks after a battery change. I was sitting in a parking lot, pressed the start button, and dead silence. Wiggled the positive connection and voila, started right up. A few days later, exactly the same thing. Out came that battery and in went a different brand.

Oddly enough the positive terminal was about 1.2mm less in diameter than the terminal on the old battery and also the 2nd new battery. The tightening screw was fully bottomed out and you could still rotate the positive connector…never understood why the terminal was undersized.
