Hello enthusiasts, maybe someone can give me a hint, i bought a 1990 mondial T. I almost completet restoration, but i have a problem with the power. i renewed the clutch and the car was running superb. after i while of driving i lost power of the pedal. i checked a electric circuits and plugs, changed all filters, but somehow i cant find the error. the exhaust smells like gasoline like its not burned right. i have no warning sign in the cockpit and i had to to make the gasidle a bit higher, that it is still running without a gear. any suggestions for that problem are highly appreciated. thank you thomas
Sounds as if your running on 4 cylinders. Each side of this engine is independent and this can happen. It could be as simple as a ground, or one of the ECU's, or even just a MAF. Your Mondi is a version 2.7 Motronic so you may be able to pull some flash codes out of it, Get the flash codes and report back here.
does anyone know how to rest the ECU'S? (motronic 2.7) i found this procedure: 1. Turn the ignition key to the on (not start) position. 2. Press the gas pedal to the floor and hold for five seconds. 3. Turn the key to the "off" position (don't remove the key), then release the gas pedal. 4. Wait at least two minutes for ECU to reset.
Thomas. Go here: http://my348.com/ and look under ECU and follow the directions. The 348 is just like the Mondial t.
