Incorrect information. F. B. drove 09917 into the Seine river in Paris. At the time it belonged to A. M. 09917 has since been recovered and as recently as one month ago offered to a client of mine in Germany. Marcel Massini
In and of lost Ferraris, #0800 was always rumoured to be a SP, possibly a 246SP or 196SP. John Godfrey in his excellent book on the type argued it was an actual existent car but like the sister car, #0796, hadn't been seen since the early 1960s.
What an impressive way to step back into the stage! We need some more recent Toasted Pony things to talk about.
Happy to have news about this "missing 275" I thought the informations on barchetta were correct since in 1983 a bugatti type 35B chassis 4944 was stolen from A. M so I was thinking that the ferrari was stolen at the same moment. I know It's not a Ferrari but I would love to know if anyone have any information about Bugatti 4944 which as far as I know as not been recovered since 1983
And what about lost F1 chassis? 312/66 sn 012, long-chassis specially built for Parkes, crashed at Spa 1967, written-off; but a few years ago someone in the UK claimed to have the remains. And the 1963-64 Aero V6 s/n 0001 and 0003; (and possibly 0004) the type last seen at the 1964 Mexican GP. Paul M
Oh my god the train thingy made me think it could be the voiture noire for a second! Almost leaked some engine oil during class!
