Lost nut on the throttle linkage

Hello

Because I forgot to put a piece of wire that blocks the castle nut on the throttle linkage, It's now gone for good.

I've tried a few places but no success.

Maybe I could replace it by a bolt of some kind but the thread does not look metric.

Any help would be appreciated

It almost certainly is metric however not likely a "standard" thread pitch. A typical tap & die set will have 2 pitches for each diameter (coarse and fine). I have a metric set allegedly purchased at the Ferrari factory in the sixties. There are several pitches for each size.

There is probably someone that has the part you need. The alternative is to make one.

 

Thank you for the tap&die set idea. I guess it is Friday evening and my brain is ready for the WE. The thread is actually a actually a 1/8NPT27

 

The 246 SPC isn't super clear on this, but if you buy PN 10124311 you might get both the female part that you still have and the male part you have lost -- item 30 in this SPC figure:

www.allferrariparts.com shows 10124311 as still available (for a price that I wouldn't futz with making a homemade one unless I could do it in less than ~1/2 hour of my total time) -- and they might be able to help you with just getting the male bit.

Where are you located? If you are in Europe, I would be shocked if www.superformance.co.uk couldn't help you.

 

I was able to get a bunch of used throttle linkage bits for a 308 from GT Car Parts in AZ. The ends look the same.
