Do a search for "599 Lost Key". There are several replies/suggestions listed. Good luck!:(

Also, before you panic, take a deep breath and try to remember what you were wearing the last time you drove the car. It could be in a different pocket. It could also have fallen somewhere in the car. Keep us posted!

Do you have the operating manual? Our California 30 manual tells what to do if you need to get a duplicate key.

Alex's advice is good advice. Check your laundry hamper. I've had this fright a couple of times and both times the key was in clothes I had worn a day or two before. If you need replacement - & I would strongly recommend getting a second one regardless of how this pans out - this is from the manual.

Good luck in finding the key...T

Excellent advice, Tom, and also added value if/when you sell the car. We were fortunate to get two keys when we bought our car (third owners). That said, I have no idea what the Code Card is!

Alex...Looks something like this. IIRC it was in a goody bag with owners manual and such that the fine folks at Miller shipped along with my Cali.

I was quoted $1300 or so at Boardwalk Ferrari. Fortunately, they were running a COVID19 19% off discount. Compared to the stress of having a single key, though, it's a small price to pay...T

Options? If you don't find it, what options are there?

None of us likes to think about spending upwards of $1000 for a duplicate key. I think Steve was inquiring about the procedure involved.

Been thru all my cars twice, laundry basket, my closet and the garage twice. Will call the dealer tomorrow. As a prior poster said, onward and upwards!

So I got a replacement key and the key code card this past Friday. Now I need to get the car towed to the dealer on Tuesday for programming. But I need to push the car out of my garage. The manual describes a ‘Park Lock’ and ‘Electric Park Brake’. I followed the instructions for the ‘Park Lock’ release and the car will not push. The instructions for the ‘Electric Park Brake’ mention a slot / hole to insert an odd looking cable type tool to release it. I can’t find the hole described in the manual.

Has any ever pushed their Cali T and if so how?

    Thanks in advance

    Steve

Contact your dealer and have them come do it. It is quite easy to break both the tool and mechanism. Doing the mechanical release is something the techs hate. Let them deal with it.

    Good idea.

After playing around some more, I figured out that the park lock puts the trans in neutral but the electric park brake tool used to release the parking brake is flimsy looking. Not to mention I can’t find the hole to use it anyways.

Would it make sense to order a 2nd key now? That's what I did for my Diablo....

I'd be too nervous having only one key. I got antsy when my second key started acting wonky. If it were me, I'd order a duplicate...T

Theoretically the original owner has a second key but he’s stuck in Europe due to Covid!!!
