Hey, guys. I'm currently visiting Utah so I stopped by to check out some of the cars at Steve Harris Imports. Shawn Harris helped me (a VERY nice guy, very informed, and very helpful) and we got to talking about some of the people he's helped by cars in the NW. I knew a LOT of them, and had no idea so many NW cars came from here. I'm not looking to start any dealer bashing, but what's the reason? If you'd rather PM me, I'll keep your names private.

    Thanks,

    Steve

I can understand that. It is because they treat people so well. I know it for a fact bec. I bought my 328 from them (Dec '02; I lived in Missouri then). I wasn't buying a high-end Ferrari and yet I was treated so well. It's the best experience I've ever had with a car dealer. I think may here can attest to the same experience.

I am unaware of the dealer you guys reference? What is the dealer name and where is the showroom?

After waiting on dealer (not SH) for 4 weeks to find me a 575, I made 1 call to SH and had car immediately. No complaints whatsoever. I know of others that have great service from sh also.

You don't want to know them either. I have a 91TR that I purchased from a gent in Salt Lake who had his car serviced by them. What a bunch of Crap. Doing a tuneup on a car with three bad CATS and not changing them? Then palming it off as good to go? Yes, I have the paper trail for this from the dealer. Food for thought me thinks.

Not having an experience with Steve or Shawn Harris I can't attest to their service but I have heard good reports about their integrity.

Sometimes owners are aware of things like plugged cats but tell the mechanic to leave them alone because of cost, especially if the owner is unloading the car. I have also heard stories of misdiagnosis of fuel injection problems due to plugged cats, often overlooked.

Once in a while all dealerships are stuck with trade in "pigs" that they can't get out from under without losing their shirts. This could have been one of them.

I've only heard good things too, Ken. Probably from the same guys who's dealt with Sean Harris. :)

This little beauty is gone (the CTX)... but being a Salt Lake local I can say I have had nothing but good experiences with Steve Harris Imports.

Quality operation... run by good people.
