Got the price list of the F12. I'm shocked that many of the things that are options on the 458 are standard on the F12. Is the F12 a bargain? :) Well, MSRP is $315 + $3700 gas guzzler + $3700 transportation-- so it's difficult to call it a "bargain"!

I have to say, I like the standard seats too. Very nice looking.

Here is the list. Some of this is obvious but some are surprising. I've put asterisks ( *** ) on those items that are included in the F12 that will cost you thousands on the 458 to add:

All the following is listed as NC

    Two dual stage front airbags
Retractable side airbag on door panel for head protection
    Traction control F1- TRAC
ABS+EBD performance anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution
    ESC (electronic stability control)
Evolution of the Electronic Differential (E-diff3)
Magnetorherological suspension with double solenoid control
    Direct Fuel Injection
    Tire pressure monitoring system
    Bi-Xenon headlights with DRL functionality
    Rear Parking Sensors ***
Electric heated side mirror with automatic closure ***
    Carbon Ceramic Brake System (CCM3)
    20" alloy wheels
    Electronic speed sensitivity power steering
Manettino Integrated command for control of vehicle set up on steering wheel
Engine start up button on steering wheel
    Dual zone air conditioning system
Key with transponder, integrate anti-theft and remote for opening doors and rear tailgate
    Emergency tire repair kit
    Performance launch control
    Battery maintainer
    Car protection cover
    Antitheft system
Infotainment with Nav, USB port on tunnel, bluetooth audio streaming ***
    Tilting rear shelf
    Electrically adjustable seats ***
Inner and out electrochromatic rearview mirror with Homelink system ***
    Cruise control***
    Front parking sensors ***

BTW: Silliest "option" on the list: $3533 for a Carbon Fiber cup holder. So much for the "bargain!"

Dumbest thing not included as standard: Electric adjustable steering wheel: $837 (Really? A car costing $315K and you can't include this?)

That's my thinking too. The wheel in CF is $4979 and the CF zone is $7420. Most cosmetic options are very similar in price to 458.

    No racing package option.

Thanks for posting. Do you have the options list, and would you post that, too?

I noticed the same thing about the F12 including more standard equipment. Things like cruise control and Homelink certainly make sense given its GT mission.

    That's it! Thanks!!

Did you see that "Performance Launch Control" is listed twice? Ooops.

Ok... who's the first to order the $10K golf bag? :)

Actually, most of the options listed here are really similar to 458.

Thanks. So if I read this right, thanks to the long list of standard equipment, you could get a very nicely equipped F12 for under $30k in options. Odd that there is no listed option for yellow calipers.

A $3,500 cup holder....that to me takes the gold medal, knocking the golf bag back to silver in the ferraris 'simply ridiculous prices competition'
Maybe the cupholder includes free lifetime automatic refills from an assortment of beverage outlets?

Ridiculous price on the cupholder. The copy is a bit fuzzy but it looks like the carbon sill cover is $9.5k... Seriously?

Edit: hahaha just noticed the $4.4k privacy glass. Thats about up there with the cupholder to me...

There is a newer/more updated price and options list, I just received from my dealer last week. (eg. now includes Giallo as a caliper color option and a few others). Web, dealer and Atelier configurators all seem a bit out of synch (as of a month ago, anyway)

On the 2012=>13 FF, they included about $15K worth of "options" and made them standard at the same base price, as least in the NA market. No sign of that for 458, but likely same approach in F12.

I would imagine they are either almost always ordered options, and/or simplifies the supply chain and assembly process, and/or helped digest the price. Our FF is among the first 13's and we "saved" $$ as we had ordered all of them, including the "no cost" rear wiper. Interestingly, we also got a few un-ordered options that were not on the invoice. OTOH, our 458 was among the first to get the "uh, electric column is now optional not standard" effect, surprise to my dealer and me. In the end, the manual wheel and seat are fine.

The F12 Rosso Berlinetta demo running around dealers has almost every box checked, its an impressive car for sure. The RossoB is gorgeous but $$$.

Honestly, the standard seats are fine with me as are the base wheels. The only think I'd like to include is the steering wheel with LED's, stitching, horsey logo's, shields, headliner in leather... and that's about it.

All black interior or Cuoio or beige... not sure yet. Thinking of the dark standard red Rossa Mugello . Yellow tach. Somewhat of a classic 70's look.

With the right color, I might not even want to paint the calipers. Matte black might look pretty good on a car like this.

The only thing I might consider it Daytona's with colored stripes. If you do it this way, the total is about 340 out the door. That's pretty much the average 458 spider cost, albeit with a lot more CF in the spider.

But, this would be plenty for me with the standard equipment. It's a GT so make it look like one. . I view this as one awesome car. Awesome. Beautiful, elegant yet aggressive --- and very fast.

Notice no more silly Ipod connector for $900 (that's already obsolete)... finally streaming bluetooth audio.

Ferrari just made it to 2011. :)

I have the high end stereo in my FF and it sounds great! I would have to compare to a standard stereo but the high end has a Favorites button allowing you to tell the radio to look for favorite songs or artists and I love that feature. My 2012 Cali has a standard radio and it does not have the favorites button. So, given both sound and features I would do it again in the F12.
