What do you think, I am looking at a late model Black Black 2002 Lotus Esprit and have fallen in love. The car would pair up nice with my 89 328 GTS, owners what do you think of the car, service, reliability etc.

    Thanks,

    Andrew

Lots of info here on Lotus...use the search function. I believe that the general consensus is that they are great cars, the owners love them, they are light years away from Ferrari as far as cost of maintenence and service costs. There are also some all Lotus forums around the internet that can provide a depth of knowledge. I had my eye on a orange/black V8 Esprit a while ago, but reality set in and I never pulled the trigger.

Car sounds awesome, when you get it post pics with the 328. :)

    Andrew,

They're fast and for the price can't go wrong. There are two orange 25th Anniversary on Ebay awhile ago, one has a previous accident on 12/03 and other the owner decided not to sell after all. Also, there are two yellow 02 25th Anniversary at www.raycoeuro.com and www.napplesmotorsports.com, I'm currently dealing with the one at napples. Buddy of mine owning an 02, said very reliable and he enjoy driving it.

Just be warned Lotus says cam belts should be changed every two years/24,000 miles. The V8TT is an interference engine.
