I haven't seen it in person.
A lot of people think it's just hot pink/magenta.
I'm not sure if it just photographs more pinkish.

On a Lotus board, it seems some people think it is too girlish...but I'm a chick anyways. I tend to like black cars personally though.
A few guys said it changes in the sun various shades of reds and pink.

What are your thoughts on this color? It looks diff. on the Lotus site, more red.

Here is another photo of it. First car. Not my photo obviously, I have no idea who's it is though, so no credit from me.

I love to see Lotus cars in crazy colors, but I'd probably just buy boring black

Edit: Sorry for using links, my computer is being really slow with uploading them using the attachment tool

Haven't seen the colour in person and I imagine along with most of the Lotus colours it is only truly appreciated in person (very hard when there are so few in that colour though). In terms of is it a suitable colour for you though - depends how outgoing you are I guess. My Elise is Graphite Grey and sort of fades into the background against the red and yellow cars (which suits me :) ). It also fades into the background in traffic which is not so good - I imagine a black one would be worse :(

Which ever way you go - have fun choosing!! :)

They do! I now have a sudden craving for LifeSavers though :(

Anyways...this color is growing on me a lot. I'm going to check with my Lotus dealer about it just for fun...I believe they have little models with paint swatches so..

I love Lotus' colors. It is a Lifesavers packet. :D If I was to get a Exige, I would probably go with Aspen White, or BRG with a yellow stripe both with black wheels . :)

Hmm...I'd really love to see it in person...
I think an Exige or Elise is one of the few kinds of cars you can actually pull off these colors in.
However, I'm not too outgoing..I'd probably still get black...I have a long while to think about it though!

I was thinking about getting a black one back when I was shopping, but ruled it out because you loose the contrast of all the mesh and to me (just my opinion), I think that contrast is what gives the car part of its beautiful look. Ended up with a Graphite Grey one, darker, subtle (doesn't stand out as much as Krypton Green or other colors might) but still lets the all the black meshed louvres and vents on the car give me shape to the curves... if that makes sense.

I really don't think there's any color that an Elise or Exige can't pull off though. Its just that much of a toy car that pretty much anything would look appropriate.

Colors are personal choices, there isn't a "wrong" color unless you consider resale values. The Lotus Elise Canyon Red has been a "down" resale color although I like it personally. Krypton Green is a hot color and I hate it. :) The CA red has a pinkish hue to it. Note: the first pic is part reflected daylight and merc vapor lamps, the second is a marketing mockup (who knows if that is a real color or not)?

I drive a yellow Elise with a black soft top in an area full of SUVs, Caddies and other luxury cars. You can get lost below someone's rear and side view mirrors, I like this color to save me amid the 90 yo codger-dodgers. :)

Hey Kara, just saw this thread, so thought I'd drop in as I have a Candy Red Supercharged Elise. :)
My previous Elise was Starlight Black, so went for something bit more out there this time! And, I can tell you, it's a head turner, and pretty darn pink! lol... The cream viper stripes go with the cream leather interior, again, a personal choice maybe not to everyone's tastes!... Generally men who see it say they didn't think they'd like it, but actually, love it in the flesh! Women and kids never had any doubt though! :D

This color would look good with a pink dress and some pink high heels. Not my cup of tea.

Pinkie - Thanks for posting photos. I think your car is very unique! I like it.
My cars will probably always be black though, heh.
