Just got a ride in one.... must say im pretty impressed. Its also pretty cool all the looks it gets. If i had the cash i would definitely buy one. Normal Exige felt fairly fast but it would be interesting to see how much faster a Exige S(220ish hp vs 190) is.

Its forsale too btw so if anyone is interested i can give you the info on it via PM.

    adios,
    Ry

How's the difference from the ride in the Lotus Elise? I find the Elise uncomfortable because it was said to be a track car instead of a daily driver. I'm guessing the ride feel would be close?

exige s with supercharger now makes sense to me vs normal aspirated elise. imho exige s for short tracks like limerock and z06 with slicks for long tracks like watkins glen would be ideal. since i cant have both im going with one 997 gt3.

ps can exige roof be removed at all?

It can, but from what I hear it's not very easy. Visually you can see where the roof ends and I would think that if it comes off with latches it would be there very similar to the Elise. I have seen pictures of two roofless Exiges, one of which put a lot of effort to make the Elise softtop fit. So truth be told I don't know if you don't see them roofless because it requires modifications or if it is something simple, but simply never done.

i was told you would lose your warranty if you took the roof off, but im not sure how reliable that info is. It is not as simple as flipping a few latches to take the roof off, there are some pretty heavy duty bolts holding it on. I wouldnt take it off anyways, i like the cool roof scoope it has...

The roof comes off the Exige without altering your warranty coverage. To fit the soft top two small holes must be drilled in the rollbar cover to fit the soft top. The factory won't blink at all when you order the Exige and order a soft top to go with it.

While it is true that it is difficult to remove the hard top on the Exige it is the same level of difficulty associated with pulling the hard top off the Elise.

I've got the hard top for my Elise. It is about a 5-minute job at most to get it on and off.
