No problem, man. Now we just have to get the "real yuppies" in their Ferraris to show up! We'll take it easy on the stock 355s and 360s with our V8 twin turbos. -Will
LAG,LAG,LAG AND MORE LAAAAAGGGGG LOVE the cars but hate turbo'syou guys need to put not, 1 but 2 turbos on a v 8 ,to get past the little 355 with no turbos David
Hahahah! Bring your 355 to the run and we shall see how everyone stacks up! Im bringin a C6, Cl600 and/or a 350z e36 m3
Ya,Ya ,Ya ,we all know what the little 355 will do ,it won't be as fast (in a straight line) as most of the other cars .......BUT it's a FERRARI and at the end of the day many would love to be driving it home ,all be it a bit ,very little bit slower DAVID
I live in Hopkinton and would love to swing up and talk to you guys with the V8 Esprits.. I recently sold by BMW 850, and have been spending the better part of the last 3 months researching what is next. 355, 512, Lotus etc. Mind if I meet some of you at Hop State park? Thanks in advance Tim
Dave - I'd still give my left nut for a 355. 'Cauz the girl I'll pick up with it will work my right one. The previous 4-bangers have lags like you wouldn't believe. But the V8 literally has none. The *tiny* (and I mean small) T-25s spool up so quickly and immediately after idle that it feels more like a big block than a forced-induction car. FYI - There was issue in 1997 (forgot the mag), where the cover featured a yellow 355 vs a yellow Esprit V8TT. From the 10 pt. scales given: Acceleration and looks went to the Lotus. Top speed and exhaust note went to the Ferrari. Tim...3 words -- Come on out! Clear skies and green lights, Will

All the info i can find shows the 360 eats up a Lotus v8 TT 360 0-60 4.2 0-100 10.2 top end 189 Lotus 0-60 4.5 0-100 11.0 top end 175 Last fact! 2003 lotus v8 sale price $85,000 market value $60,000 w 8k miles 30% loss in 2 years 2003 Ferrari 360 Sale price $170,0000 market price w/ 8k miles is $165,000 3% loss in two years ( better thatn 90% of mutual funds over the same time) lets not discuss a 10 year old lotus at $30,000 and a 10 year old 355 at $85,000.....Nice cars wrong fight... But if Im still invited id like to come with my 360.
Please do! I'd love to see the 360 in person. So I got a little carried away, but I knew this reverse psychology thing would get your cars out of their stables. For the rest of you, even if she's all tucked away for the winter, it'll be an automotive appreciation event. Come in your family car! Best, Will PS Car and Driver, November Issue, 1997. Lotus Esprit V8 TT, 0-60 in 4.1 seconds per performace test. 4.4, 0-60; 10.5, 0-100, 180 top: per manufacturer spec. http://66.139.73.25/current%20models/espritv8specs.html With MotoConcept Red Race Code chip for a slight increase in boost and addition of dual chargecoolers = 525 hp (only a $1500 addition), up 175 from the stock 350...good for trimming *at least* a few tenths off the times. PPS Price-wise? Most certainly (though I must have gotten ripped off, cauz my sticker read $94,515). I would never put the V8 in the same league as the 360. But then again, I'd never buy a car as an investment. PPPS I'd still kill for a 360/430, just let me finish grad school 1st!

Money should not be the issue when talking cars amongst car fans. Everyone buys whatever makes them happy for whatever reason, then just drive and enjoy. But since you brought it up; 360 owners are paying $415.00 per hp Lotus V8TT owners are paying $271.00 per hp Weather looks good, so just show up on sunday and see who got the best value. Tom
Jim, This sounds like a great time. I can not think of a better way to spend a Sunday. Give me a call if you want to meet up before the event. I would love to get some nice photos of your 360..... Alex
Perhaps Zan (Diablo VT Roadster) and Prova (Testarossa) could make this event also and further represent the Italians???
Its a good a investment at a 30% depreciation.... or is it a good investment at a 3 % depreciation ...lets face it a car is lousy investment buy a cavallino its the way to go. lotus (english) ferrari ( Italian)say no more
I'll take german and i'll say this, if everybody was as happy with their car as i am with mine there would not be these (friendly)pissing matches. One thing is not in dispute, both your cars are stunning examples of talented automotive designers. Live a little and increase the depreciation on your car sunday. Tom
Jim et al: You guys are awesome! Just having Ferraris along will draw crowds like you wouldn't believe! Thank so much fellas!!! Hi GregTe, It'll mainly be a gathering/meet at the state park, and the huge caravaning will probably be leaving the park for lunch at around 12:30 PM at some restaurant with PLENTY of safe parking. Aside from that, the fun runs will occur within the respective car groups of various regions in getting to the park.
