    We have another interested new owner, Joe with an 80 GTBi in Gulfport MS. He has some contacts that may lead to an event on the MS Gulf Coast. Sort of a Crusin the Coast type event for Ferrari's.

    Agreed! I would hope that between the Louisiana owners and the ones that I have met in Mississippi, we could have nice turnouts. Please let me know of anything you come up with as potential events/meets.

    Hi Guys, I'm the new guy in Gulfport that Gerard mentioned earlier in the thread. My 308GTBi was delivered Nov 19th and I'm having a blast with it. I've got a couple of great contacts at two of the casino resorts here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. I had mentioned to Gerard about possibly doing something toward the spring 08 with one of the casinos. I've planted the seed with one of them and they want to hear what I've got to say. I won't say which one I'd prefer but they are "Rock and Rollers"! :) I was thinking about doing a weekend event, bring in some Ferraris to cruise around a bit, hit a couple of local places to eat, cruise Beach Blv and stay at the casino Sat night with the cars on display somewhere out front. Of course they would have to guarantee security, rope off the cars from greasy fingerprints ect ect. They may comp some rooms to us but that is not a guarantee right now. Mardi Gras is in early Feb and the Poker run is not too much later. I don't want to put too many events too close together and hurt participation at any of them. I need to get some preliminary info to start putting things together and see if it is do-able? Who would be interested, what car would they bring, and date schedule that works best? I need to have this kind of data ready when I sit down with them to talk. What I DON't NEED or want is a bunch of people saying they would come and only 3 show up. It would be nice if 2 or 3 of us showed up at the preliminary meeting to show we are for real. I was thinking of trying to do that in mid-late January? Let me know what you think. Joe

    I could bring both cars but I won't be back until early May, which would mean a summer even and not spring.

    I should be back by then. I still don't have my travel orders though, but my Canadian work permit says I have to leave by May 5th, but if my replacement isn't here by then I'm sure I will be extended (I'm not expecting that though) :)
