    Hello all,

I've lurked here for the last couple of years while I've been hunting for the right 308/328. After driving a number of dogs, dealing with one unhinged owner, and a whole lot of research on this great site I finally found a very decent driver. Since I plan to post plenty of questions and contribute what limited knowledge I have I thought I had better introduce myself.

I've been a 80s Porsche owner for the last five years and have become a competent weekend mechanic as a result. After I bought my 1986 911 Targa back in 2007 I assisted with all of the basic and major maintenance myself at a Porsche specialty shop that I was referred to. Over time I started to take the maintenance and repair tasks on myself, and over the last two years I completed a full body windows out restoration. My mechanical engineering skills finally got some serious use. I now plan to use the skills acquired working on German Iron to whip my 308 into shape.

Beautiful car! that's awesome that you're not afraid to DIY on your cars. The color combo looks very nice.
