The concept and the reality of the 599 was built around the F1 tranny. Less then 10% of all 599's are purchased with the optional manual. Yes there are always those who will order a manual with any model sports car. Wether its a ferrari,porsche,lambo etc. To be fair, I've never driven a manual 599. I've heard it is more challenging to use and will sharpen your skills appreciably. Personally I just don't think a manual is the right fit for this car for many different reasons. I track my 599 and I can't shift nearly as quickly as the computer can. As a GT car given its weight and width I just don't see a manual as being a big buy option for 599 buyers. I'm sure others will have different opinions.
