Does anyone have knowledge or experience of a muffler for the 360 advertised by T Rutlands on ebay and described as "New 360 Spider Stradale Exhaust"? The price is $995.00. Seems like a very competitive price but how simple is it to hook up and how does it sound?

You also need the left and right tips and they are not cheap.

Find a stock 360 exhaust, Craigslist, Fleabay, etc. Seen as low as $175.
Take to good muffler shop, cut open bottom, gut the can, straight pipe it.

About $400, voila....race exhaust....keep your original in case you don't like,
    or sell the car.

Thinking about this for a while now, have a good muffler shop local.
Just have not moved on it. If you do this, post how you like it.

It will take a little longer as you'll need to pull the rear bumper for access...not bad or hard but should have a helper for removing/reinstalling....

I had a shop do this when I wanted some noise out of my 993 Turbo. Saved a fortune and had the same results. It made a real difference too.

There's nothing inside the stock 360 muffler anyway. What exactly would you gut? There is a big chamber inside and it reduces sound by firing the pulses from each bank at each other.

no such thing as a cheap exhaust that sounds good on a Ferrari, probably the closest would be a used 430 with the tailpipes modified to fit the 360.

Never seen one opened. Figured by how quiet a stock one is, that there must
be sound deadening of some sort.

So saying that, and the CS muffler being so much louder after 4k or so,
what does the CS can have, or not have, to make it so much louder ?

Do you have pics of a stock can opened up ?

There's no sound deadening. I will try and dig some photos out at some point.

The CS sounds louder because when the valves open the gases bypass the silencer completely - they exit the cat and go straight out of the tail pipe!

We have done a lot of different systems at our shop, including the CS/430 style can mod on the 360, none of which sound as good as a Tubi W cat bypass pipes IMO. We have not tried the internal mod on the stock 360 can, I would be willing to try it though.

Sometimes cheaper isn't always better, if so at least make sure it comes with a lifetime warranty in case you have any problems with it. I run the Nouvalari super sport exhaust with the EuroCustoms resonated test pipes and it sounds amazing! I'll try to take a sound clip this weekend when I'm home from my business trip.

The OEM muffler may have a lot of engineering in it, but the strength and durability is crap. I would not waste any time or money on it. The mounting brackets/welds totally suck. The thin SS skin is not up to the task of supporting the weight, vibration, heat cycles to last long. Just junk that boat anchor!!!!

    Good Luck with this!!!!

I'm surprised you wrote that. Was that before you wrote this article on 360 mufflers?

I really like the article on converting the 430 muffler to fit a 360. Nice job! Do you happen to have a sound clip?

    Hey guys,

I have a used ( HARDLY ) Tubi muffler for a 360 that came on the owner of Fabspeed's car when he bought it. He of course removed it and installed the Fabspeed muffler.

For anyone looking I would really like to get $3k for it with the tips and everything re-polished and looking almost new. I would also be happy to set anyone up with 5% savings on a new Fabspeed muffler for the 360 as well.

And if anybody wants my OEM muffle for experimentation (I'm running a Tubi now) I'd let it go for a few hundred smackers. PM me if interested.

I should have qualified my post with the valve operation. With the valves open the central chamber is the only one in use.
