But I can't delete the thread... sorry guys
What you save in initial cost, you could easily spend in subsequent service. My advice is to buy the most recent and best 355 that you can afford. In the long run, its money well spent. Tim On that note, take a look at my 99' 355 F1 Spider (for sale): http://www.ferrarichat.com/ferrariads/showproduct.php?product=491&sort=1&cat=11&page=1
Doesn't seem like that great of a price....I wonder when the 30k was done. Need more pictures and information.
If this car has had a valve job (done right), it's 30K, and a service pedigree, it sounds like a good deal to me. It would have to pass PPI of course. A properly serviced 95 is the most desireable year IMO. It is priced the best, they are faster, and other than factory keyless entry, they really don't lack anything of a later model.
They have two separate intakes and 2 mafs, as compaired to the later models that have two into 1 mafs settup. This is were the '95s get the extra 5 hp. The top photo is a '95, and the bottom I think from a '97 Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I am not sure of the HP differance but my freind has a 95 and it blew my 97 and his other freinds 99 355 away!!
There was another thread on here somewhere in which someone said the difference between a 95 vs 96-99 355 is more like 20+ hp, apparently verified by a dyno if I remember correctly. -R
It is definitley more than 5hp. My 95 keeps up with 360s on the drives I have been on with some other chatters. Throttle response is much better also. Don't forget 95's are pre obd2 so you can test pipe them with no check lights.
