Off topic, but the multiple failed emissions tests (x5!) issue is exactly why I always do a pretest here in CA. If that happened in CA, they’d label the car a gross polluter and check the thing every single year… Not that I’m bitter or anything… ;-)

That's what I was thinking? I went to their website but they do not show any figures. Hey Joe, what would your best estimate be on this car?

Its hard for me to say because I'm not affiliated with this particular car, and even though I know of it by history & reputation, I have never personally cast eyes upon it.

I was the previous owner of the car. really quite nice. in my personal opinion, having seen many cars, but no where near the # that many others have reviewed, its really quite nice.
FOLI di d afull engine out, overhaul, tires, cats, etc. about 18 months ago. thing turns over with first touch of that starter button. costmetically, id rate it a 9, 9 1/2. someone who was considering buying it took slight issue with some clear cost on the passenger door that looked milky, about 3 inches of it. i never had personally noted it till he pointed it out, to me its just ferrari carbon from the 1990s.
thing was kept perfect and babied during my ownership.
has the classique, and some spares.

i sold a few of my ferrari's recently as im going to be doing a host of tracking and historic events next year with some of my pcars and a few others. i just wasnt driving the 40 and 50 and i was growing tired of owning cars i wasnt driving. thats not to say you couldnt drive them, of cours emany smartly do...i just wasnt given some of the other rides ,my mentality towards the cars.

i would rate teh car quite quite highly and i think its a premier example.
FWIW, i have zero financial interest in the cars,....zero.
sold a good bit ago to guy who bought , in one shot, a bunch of my cars at a fair price.
from what i was told, he unloaded like 2,3 of them at big prices and had more room thusly on others.

if anyone has questions on the car, PM me , ill give you my email.

    Ricky:

Its impossible to say, because here is yet another car 'without identity' that a seller is asking the public to buy.

"Guess which car" seems to be a game that's popular nowadays.

According to the Ad, it has a special chassis number, "VIN:00000000000000000". Furthermore it states "Interior color: Tan" so this is definitely not one Ive come across yet. Their own Ad goes on to state that:

"A history report is not available for vehicle identification number 00000000000000000.
Possible explanations why the report is not available include:
    *
The seller didn't enter the vehicle identification number correctly.
    *
The vehicle was manufactured prior 1981.
    *
The vehicle didn't have a 17-digit vehicle identification number.
    *
The vehicle wasn't intended for the US market (such as limited production exotics)"

Wow. I guess we will have to draw our own conclusions. If they truly have a USA car for sale, I will give you 211 guesses as to which one it is...

    Another one:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300389658969

    VIN: ZFFMN34A5L0087181 23,578 miles

    Upgrades to the car are

    1) Tubi exhaust
    2) Hyperflow Cats
    3) Ferrari LeMans Turbos
    4) Straight cut gears
    5) Chipped for the above set up at Caribou Engineering in California
    6) 18” rims

I also have all original parts that were replaced except chips.

You can click on this link of Carobu Engineering to see the work that Tate Casey did on my car. http://www.carobu.com/html/f40_project.html

Also see the attachments of an October 08 appraisal, an article on my car in European Car magazine, and pictures of the complete spare motor

Complete spare motor. I Purchased this motor in Europe. I came in an original Ferrari crate on a stand. Block, heads, intake. flywheel, clutch, wiring harness, turbos, alternator, compressor, intake, coils injectors - everything
With 511 hp, it run's great.

Lot's of money was spend having the car service and tuneup.

In 2004 we spent a Total of $21,720.61

SHOP LABOR WAS 28 HOURS $2,750.00
    PART'S $17,645.50
We spent over 45,000.00 worth of upgrade receipts.

Also need to talk about the price. I would like to get net 399 for car only. 450 with all extras including spare motor. I guess it takes the right buyer to appreciate what I have done at considerable expense.
