well what a wonderful weekend of early ferraris, the GT4 and daytona performed well, no hickuups, in fact the GT4 was running so well on its return journey that I went from Horsham to Adelaide on a tank full. The only minor breakdown was a Red Daytona where its wipers were buggered other than that no problems, and these old things really get up and boogie, glad to see nothing newer than a steel 308GTB with carbs. The 275 of TH's was running castrol M and the smell of racing fuel needs to be smelt (just ordered 5 litres). Great dinners were well organised and the ferrari flags and crap were missing (thank god) My camera ran out of power during Cradle mountain so no pics, only good stories from some great blokes.
LOL,good rally, boxer is ideal, just puff along and give it a squirt in top. They can have there Daytona's give me a Boxer.
love a Boxer but by the time im in purchase mode Boxer will probably be $200k + and 355 $100k easy decision
X2 it was funny watching the OHOS in front of us going through the round abouts at Torquy, rolling over themselves while the BB was flat and just a puff of throttle to stay with em.Having said that the grey 275 in a straight line behind us was fast.
bet he was still fast when he stepped on the brakes too They look good, but I've not read anything that would want me to buy one. Overrated IMO
Pretty car great engine, but the build quality reminds me of a 105 Alfa.Only Ferrari I have ever wanted was a Carb Boxer.Goes back to early '80s when Ivan Butterworth would lap dash his BB365 (JAA000) against our Alfa's. Oh and he bought it new and drove it everyday for 5 plus years.
Would be nice to drive to work. Only problem for me is it a 130km round trip and our practices are lets say in less desirable suburbs. The boxer would be up on bricks within half an hour
SA Cars, GT4 Daytona 330 piss poor really, the vics really wanted more from SA. I cant go to the P. McKay rally next year unless i put carbs on the TR and stick the donk up front. dam
V12s ,that is why I stopped going,as my car was not invited.More a sports car then a Daytona(IMO that is a GT)
gee thats a bit rough(elitist). The boxer is a 180 degree V12. Would have thought a boxer was closer to a 250lm than a daytona
well that was what the invite form wanted, sorry it was V12s up to 1973.That is why i cracked the sads.
