Wow, that I would not have expected. Not in a million years. Pretty hypocritical. Some food for Daniel Love's thoughts.

Now that is funny... The question remains... is it the Ferrari Utility Vehicle or the FU vehicle?

    I do, and thank you.

I think it works because I know where to go, whom to ask, what to ask and so forth. If I was someone with zero experience in the track scene or car scene, no technical knowledge etc, I would not be in a position to have it this way. I would prefer it to be this way for clients in general. To be fair, the problem first and foremost lies with Ferrari Maranello, not really the dealers. Granted, some dealers are very happy to play along, where other dealers might wish for a different situation. The majority of the employees at my dealer are car guys. Hell, one of them drove his Caterham 400 to work every day for a whole summer because he blew up the engine in his M3. They find it pretty funny when I show up wearing a dirty t-shirt and dusty pants because I was messing with the car 30 min prior to dropping by. I think this has also made me a lot more approachable. Part of it probably lies in the fact that I'm quite down to earth and am in this because I like cars and I like to drive. I'm not above getting my hands dirty and I think it's fun being involved. I feel just as much at home in their service area talking shop as I do sitting at their bar talking about everyday life with a cappuccino. At my dealer this is somewhat rare, and also why they sometimes aren't entirely sure how to deal with me. I think the key element is to show that when you ask for something, you also show that you do it for a reason. If I had made a ton of demands and complained about pricing, but had 1000 km on my car and it had no battle scars, I think they would think of me as a bot of a jerk.

I don't think it changes his views one bit.

Let's be real, the lines was never a big discussion. HEL is a very reputable company and several in the Challenge use them. It was a pretty easy decision and I had the lines on hand already. The main reason why it was done elsewhere was because they know my race shop and the car was there for an alignment anyway. My F dealer did an inspection shortly after and everyone was happy.

With regards to the brakes and warranty. The answer was simple. "We cannot warrant non-OE parts". I asked my service rep whether or not it included my calipers and the answer was that if a caliper failed, he would have one hell of a hard time blaming the discs so there was no point in doing so. Some dealers might void the warranty on the caliper, but those aren't exactly known to be a weak part. Had they done so, I'd be totally indifferent. Funny thing is that I have the same warranty on the actual disc from ST as I would have from Ferrari had I used an OE disc. And Pagid warrant their pads the same way Brembo does, so those are taken care of too.

Other than the Ford Escort you drive to work daily, what other exotic cars do you currently own or have owned in the past?

So you dont actually own any exotics so your comments about other brands being trash are simply your opinion not based on anything other than loyalty to your employer? Ok got it.

Perhaps you might help me then because if Ferrari is so superior to all other brands (we already know that you think the ride height is perfect from the factory) why is it that my Pista had the worst paint than any other exotic/sports car that Ive purchased? Here are some images for your review- Why was my Mclaren or Porsche not like this? Why is it that my friends who own lambo and Aston have never complained about paint on a brand new 500k car? If this what you mean by everything else is trash and Ferrari is the best, Id hate to see what a crappy company would provide as paint for a new car:

Settle down there little fella. Be polite, we pay your salary.

Now I asked you a direct technical question, to give you a fair chance to prove yourself. What's it gonna be? Are you gonna be a pro worthy of wearing the Italian Stallion overall, or are you going to keep throwing your toys out the pram like a 2 yesr old?

Which Ferrari dealer do you work for?

As long as you don't answer my initial questions, you are the one not proving what you know.
Also, it is quite hard to assume how much or how little someone knows about cars based on SoCal's posts. You may be a Ferrari mechanic, but that does not qualify you to know whether McLarens and Porsches are trash. You don't own them, drive them, or work on them. So how the hell would you know?

Ah. I had one hell of a hard time making sense of his post.

Is that level of maturity a normal thing for the average 30 year old Ferrari mechanic in the US?

He says elsewhere that he is new to the industry. Maybe their site is not up to date? Wonder if anyone here from Atlanta knows of him.

The whole thing does not add up.

The mechanics I’ve dealt with are all professional and car enthusiasts of all brands and not homers for the company they work for.

No clue if he is real or fake but his posts border on immature and arrogant.

Read some of his other posts. The level of immaturity for a 30 year old, is mind blindingly ludicrous.

If I was the GM of FoA and read his posts on here, I'd be absolutely livid.
