I'm just wondering-do most owners lower their cars? My imaginary 'BEST GT4 IN THE WORLD' (tm) has arrived, but of course I'm in Portland, not back until Monday!
I did mine when I went to 16 inch wheels. You do have to watch out for sleeping policemen more on our roads. Made a difference to handling more planted and better in the corners.
I went with lower springs, you can find rates in my restoration thread. Car sits great now and corners even better at the track.
The front fiberglass skid plate is usually the first thing to touch. Make sure the fuel pump is not too low. Here is a photo of the car lowered. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Oh yes... Had to refashion the bottom of the f'glass spare wheel well and put an ally plate there but the car sits nice and low for the track and is still usable on road (Race regs required it to clear a 90mm block) Image Unavailable, Please Login
No rubbing - I think the pic makes it look lower than it is as I would have been braking/turning in there...
Hello, I want to lower my GT4... What is possible ? Front : mm? Rear : mm ? Can you help with numbers ?
I bought 185lbs for the front and 200 lbs for the back which is slightly stiffer then stock. Also got the length down about 1/2" from stock. I bought the springs from Hypercoil. The inside diameter is 3". Here is the diagram for spring rates: Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks , i would like to order Wilbers suspension but they seems not to be adjustable in the height properly so i should then order the wished heiht for them .That means i should ask for half an inch lower or more ?
