The long-awaited 1121066, Bleu Acapulco / Bianco & Bleu, new to Hubert Hahne on June 9th 1979 (not to be confused with 1121090 built for Fred Johl), I understand that this car has not been driven in @ 30 years.
Obviously this car needs TLC, but I'd mainly clean it, for sure not restore, since that would in a way destroy the originality. Of course it needs a full engine out and rebuild after 33 years of storage.
Because of it's 30-year inactivity, it's entire fuel system including gas tanks will likely need to be overhauled or replaced, gearbox will have to be serviced and it might require a new clutch, it'll need a rebuild of suspension and brakes from a safety standpoint, it'll need a set of new P7s, and all electrical functional systems will have to be tested and likely overhauled.
Absolutely, but it doesn't need a full respray or interior replacement, conserving the patina of a 40 years old car is also a way to do it.
RARE S3 RHD for sale in SOUTH AFRICA ... https://www.gumtree.co.za/a-classic-vintage-cars/hillcrest/1982-lamborghini-countach-s/1007064449420910354171909
not a nice ad to be honest: too bad and poor quality pics Still we can see: -terrible panels alignment on the body -caulking looks bad to -No engine pics -interior put toegether badly (see seats, steering wheel with glued bull cap, dashboard fit and finish) -rusty muffler -wrong bull badge ...and more from what i can see does not look like a nice example but possibly a restoration candidate a RHD 400s is still a very rare car and worth a good restoration imo
NEW PICS backing the excellent analysis of Emilio ...... the price was also lowered to R 5,499,950 (approximately US$ 313,000 ...) https://www.autotrader.co.za/car-for-sale/lamborghini/countach/s/25410698
yes, the more pics i see the more i am convinced this car is a full resto candidate and we have not seen one pic of engine bay yet
is this LP400S series 3 1121456? somebody knows what is happened to it? is it still in its original pink color? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes, that is #1121456 Rosa Petalo - Bianco. Delivered new to Saudi Arabia but driven in France, it eventually stayed there. Now repainted Black - Black with bumper removed. Easy to recognize such a special car: rear emblems placement and bumper location shape! Image Unavailable, Please Login
I would take any other Countach variant over the any Anniversario, the looks is horrible although technically it's the best of all.
