Last model Valentino drove? Really? So he didn't test drive from 1982 until 2008 when he officially retired? Sounds odd to me...
A lot of Errors and missing Things on this quite known french example, they towed it to Retromobile in the past.
Rame Colorado is a beautiful color, however, considering this is a restored Countach, experienced eyes wouldn't describe this example as very nice. Anyone with the most basic knowledge of Lamborghini history will know that this is incorrect. Pictures alone confirm this. It has been restored poorly, however it has potential.
True - but I wonder sometimes if they put it in as a "test" or something. Makes me wonder what else they missed or got wrong. Reminds me of the story of Van Halen putting in all their contracts that they wanted a bowl of M&Ms in their room, but no brown M&Ms - they were all to be taken out. Apparently, it was a test to see who actually read and followed their contract - specifically, if they left the M&Ms in, what else did they miss or overlook? Would every power socket in every part of the stage that they asked for be there or did they overlook that too? It was a technical accuracy test - if they got the M&Ms right, they had confidence that the rest was done right too.
The ad specifically states that the pictures were taken before finishing all the details. Maybe that was also a test to see who would read all of the ad
We have even seen the car at Retromobile and some private Pictures as well, unless they made significant corrections the statements before are still valid.
The Ad contains misinformation and is lacking in any meaningful detail, and, reading it in it's entirety doesn't change the validity of the aforementioned comments. As Raymond suggests and anyone who follows these cars is aware, this car has existed in this incomplete guise for at least 1.5 years and has been shown in multiple locations and subjected to a number of photoshoots as posted on social media over the same period without any of the missing details being attended to. Now that the car is being presented for sale, those details are still not finished. Which begs the question, why not finish the details before photographing the car and presenting it for sale? Whatever the answer is, this reflects very poorly upon the seller. Some of us who specialize in the presentation of these cars know that you only get one chance to make a good first impression. However, as I said above, beautiful color, and, it has potential.
As a follow-up to my post above, I spent just a couple minutes doing some basic research on this LP400S S3 for sale. It was first shown by a previous company called Jorcar https://www.jorcar.com/home/ at Paris' Retromobile https://www.flickr.com/photos/lcf63/42335544672 and this image of it was taken on February the 9th 2018, so it has actually remained in this guise for at least a bit over 2 years.
drove 1458 after a long stop for winter and corona... what a car! this 4000 engine had been totally rebuilt (slightly different timing and sport exhaust) and loves to rev ...it has much less low down torque on the bottom compared to QV but makes good power on the top and revs more freely than the later car we drove 3 cars on sunday and my friend told the Countach S feels more or less as fast as my 400+ hp Omega lotus 3 cars could not be more different: 4.0 V12 carbed 3.6 Twin turbo 6 2.0 Vtec N/A with 236 hp and revving to 9200 rpm Image Unavailable, Please Login

I took this picture of a Swiss LP400 S in Monaco in 1984 during the F1 weekend, Argento with Blue interior, splendid! VIN? Image Unavailable, Please Login
I think I will have a little word with my dear friend Victor ;-) Here is a spotlist I made in 1984 after the Monaco F1 week, yes I know I'm retarted, but it clearly says Blue interior for this Argento Countach. And it does not have the Swiss reversed turning signal lights, so it is probably not #1121420. But with Victor you never know, usually he's right ;-) Image Unavailable, Please Login
Uh, there has been some confusion somewhere... I said this one (with swiss blinkers) is #1121420: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login While its twin-sister Fribourg/Monaco Countach is probably #1121444: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Funny how they both ended up getting the same Koenig skirt and reversed S badge!
You're right FR-65750 is 1444, here Pictures when Bobnar had here before being repainted to white, from 1984 1420 was silver/black 1444 silver/blue Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The Koenig skirts are interesting. I think IMSS (Italian Motors) in Hong Kong fitted Koenig skirts to at least three LP5000S. Does anyone know anything about this?
