was your car originally Acapulco blue?

 

Correct! It seems that it was painted Bianco many years ago and I haven’t made a decision to go back just yet. Just enjoying driving it for now.

Did find some Blu Acapulco in some covered areas. Extremely exciting!

Maybe I’ll have the community vote on what to do with the paint over the next few years. Although I probably already know the answer to that!

Chassis No. 1121374
Finished in original livery of Nero Tenebre over Bianco Latte.
October 10th, 1981 completion date, then flown directly by the factory to LAX for an unnamed VIP client.
52,531 KM (32,641 miles) from new.
Possibly the most thoroughly restored LP400S to date, with restoration cost in excess of $400,000. Full nut & bolt restoration by marque specialist Dugan Enterprises in California completed in 2018, faithful in all aspects to the original car.
Less than 160 KM travelled since restoration.
Comprehensive appraisal by Chip Davis (Expert Auto Appraisals) noted the incredible quality of this restoration.
Winner of the Best Lamborghini award at 2018 Concorso Italiano Concours D’Elegance.

What is the cylinder on the pressed bracket after the throttle cable?

 

Timing retard at idle, the later cars with the MM box have a relais for this which manipulates the input signal to the box.
