LOL to some my baby is ugly and in some parts it could be better, I know, its a work in progress. I am 1000% fine with some not liking the project. The "M" in SVM is for Manalote who brought the bull to the fight not the fight to the bull ;)

Just know I will never park it next to Islero hehehehe

We will show it running but not done at Concorso but should be done by December 2013. We have to change the front suspension Alan made that is a major job.

My guess is that his "bottom line" probably has a lot of zeros in it.

Unfortunately, upon completion, there may be no other numbers in front of the zeros.

    LOL. ;) ;) ;)

Love the build. Best of luck with the completion. I can't wait to see the finished car.

I would prefer a unique one-off with a special history and memory, to a 'mass produced' 4000 pcs Aventador anytime :D

Karlton, I have said in the past that anything done to pay respects to one's father is honorable.

You often remind us that the M in the car's name is for Manolete (note sp.) and the reason for its inclusion is that the famed Matador brought the bull to the fight and not the other way around. Whilst this is in fact not entirely correct, I wonder why this homage car has to be anything about fighting, whether brought, or taken-to.

Unless you are building it specifically to fight other bulls (race other Lamborghinis)?

At any rate, since you often mention Manolete and show videos depicting his life, I thought I should clarify his well-studied fighting style. I researched Manolete because the bottom line is that his fame & death made the hitherto obscure "Miura" name famous. His death is the opening chapter in my Miura book.

As already written, Manolete's Bullfighting style was an extension of his human character, austere & basic, serious & brave, sober & tough but always elegant. To watch him, it appeared like he wasn't fighting at all, so elegant was his Matador's dance.

What wasn't apparent to the casual observer was the fact that he often took maximum risks in his "muletazos" (cape passes), with the bull’s horns barely missing his clothing. His style dispensed with the "lidia", the fancy play with the cape, and especially concentrated on the "faena" with the red cloth "muleta". He took the basics of bullfighting and turned them into an art with his characteristic upright stance. It would seem as though the bull charges around a pole, with Manolete's feet moving very little. Manolete introduced a new technique that shortened the path of the bull on the passes. Instead of placing the "muleta" in front of his body and pushing it toward the beast, "Manolete" would keep it closer to his hip on the side where the bull would exit, with his body in profile to the bull. The encounter of man and animal would take place an instant before the bull is in front of the "torero", thus delaying the act of "parar". Since the body of the man was already placed sideways in the direction of the exit of the bull, there was no need to "cargar la suerte" to send the bull away. This was accomplished by lightly twisting his body at the waist and stretching his arm while maintaining a statuesque position with his feet and legs a few inches apart from each other, comfortably resting in the ground. This position allows for fast defensive movements when the need arises, and makes the placement of the body easier for the next pass. The passes flow more easily, forcing the bull to follow the "muleta", in an almost circular trajectory, where the end of one pass becomes the beginning of the next ("ligar"). This tricks the eye of the spectator into creating the illusion that each individual pass is longer.

Having explained all this, it doesn't take a genius to see that like a boxer who fights on the inside, the chances for a knockout by a ferocious opponent are much more present. His trick of turning his side or even his back to the bull was terminally flawed, although it looked great to spectators. It only took one bull to prove this.

If this car is being built to take on other bulls, make sure you keep it pointed straight ahead and not sideways, or worse still, backwards! That would be the Manolete's legacy.

Meanwhile congratulations on having the persistence, patience & resources to see this build through.

The M is for how many people will come to the car and fight how it looks now. His style was pure art in a "sport" of death.. No I am not going to take on other Bulls but those who are Bullheads who will dismiss the car the art as being non Lamborghini. One at a time each pass of the car getting longer and longer ;) hehehe Like I said not going to park it next to an Ilsero

Its that time where it all comes back together for Concoro!

Today the rear suspension is back from plating. headlight wells made, rear body mounts done keeping the rear clip removable. Heat shields going in... Motor mount went to powder coating so it will be ready for motor and trans this weekend.

Wow what a difference in quality of work. You must definitely be feeling more positive about the project with this level of talent on board. No comparison with the last shop.

Looks like you'll be living life one 1/4 mile at a time with that tank although I guess that engine should be pretty good on gas. Cool tank!

That tank is only for Concorso. The entire front suspension and bay are going to be re done and a 15gal cell is set for the car when that is done. Just needed a cell for next week. ;)

Yes I Know the car will get a big tank. Are you transporting the car to the show and driving it once there? A 5 gallon or so tank could make a journey interesting to say the least. Looking forward to seeing it all together!

She heads up next Thursday in a box trailer. drives off and onto the green and back to the box LOL. Short commute this time. LP420 SVM has loads of work to do on her before she is ready to play hard with the bulls. The entire front suspension has to be re-done. Fact is all of the other builders work must be fixed before this car is done.
