At the NYIAS they had two LP640's, a roadster and coupe. The Roadster had the regular Q-Pattern seat, but the coupe had racing seats like those found in the Gallardo Superleggera. I have never seen the on another Muricielago. Is this a new option for 07-08 or is it just an option on Euro model cars, which these might have been? Also any ideas on the price of them?
Here are the pictures of the seats. I think they look pretty good.

I'm quite sure that they are an option. I noticed the new seats in one of the press photos Lambo released.

They are an option, HOWEVER you can NOT order them with a USA car, they do not meet DOT requirements for SIDE AIR BAGS as with the SL seats as well..

BUT you can order the seats seperate form the Dealer, then INSTALL yourself when they arrive.

I do not know of any "authorized Dealer" that would put them in for obvious legal reasons, but they can be ordered, you just need to get them PUT in...

Roy, I thought the issue was the harnesses not being dot approved rather than side airbags, since cars aren't required to have side airbags yet? Or maybe those are required now, I can never keep up with all the regulations the government creates to 'help' us.

i think it is a requirement to have side air bags.

f430s are no longer optioned w/ sport seats for this very reason

    Roy,

Once again you are misleading people and you are calling the shot without any deep knowledge of what you are talking about. Do not confuse the Superleggera seats with the LP640 seats. The Murcielago sports seats are a factory option on all US cars. I know this as they are on my factory build sheet of every car that I build when I order cars for my clients. There are no seat airbags in a Murcielago, there never have been.

I am sure ONCE AGAIN you may or may not be correct...could you please show me a USA car with a USA VIN, that has the seats ON THE ORGINAL BUILD WINDOW STICKER... (Pics) that is in the USA with these seats. I am aware it is on a build sheet, however I have been told over and over again that these SEATS are NOT allowed on a USA build car. You know as well as I DO there are several items on the build sheet that are not available to the USA market...

I AM also told this is the SAME for the SL, is that correct with your information>>??

If I am wrong please correct me, I have no issue with that, but this is what I have been informed on..

So please back up this statement with evidence...It should be easy since you have BUILD EVERY car this way as you say??

The guy works for an authorized dealer why would he 'may or may not be wrong and post something that wasn't true? Are you saying that his facts, which I assume are first hand from the factory are incorrect? I'm more inclined to believe him than you. He doesn't say that he built ALL the cars for the dealership that way, just the ones he has ordered for his customers. Also, I highly doubt he is going to post the VIN of his customers cars, I'd be pissed if he posted mine.

I am saying just that...if I am in-correct let us know...however I have been informned as well by an AUTHORIZED DEALER that this is in-correct. The SEATS can not be had for the SL and THEY can not be had with the Murcie as an ORGINAL order part. THEY can be order afterwards as I pointed out and then installed in the car.

So YES you are right, ONE of the TWO Authorized Dealers is in-correct. So I am asking which is it and to provide info. I am not calling anyone a LAIR or name calling. There is even no need to name the other Dealers (two of them) that gave me this info. I just have NOW two different remarks on this seat issue and am asking for clarafiaction, big deal!!

I do not know about anyone else, BUT I HAVE yet to see one USA car BUILT with the SEATS direct from the factory when it landed in its orginal BUILD. I AM aware of two cars that came with the USA seats, (so to speak)and then WERE re-fitted with seperate part ordered seats when it arrived.

I am suggestioning this, as LOC does some cars they carry as "After sale Dealer installed options" such as there MOMO cars, and they get some real neat cars that are one off cars, like the "V" roadster. This maybe a special that is only available to them. They do have good pull with the factory as they are reported to be the Largest Retail supplier of Lamborghinis in the USA AND they do a fine job at it!!.

Nothing wrong with that great!! But then it needs to made clear that the CAR DOES not come from the Factory with the seats IN IT...

I would like to know as well and welcome the answer, with back-up, GEEZ this is not a he said she said game, just info gathering thread..

BUT I am sure that I will be wrong again in the future, so BAN me for life!!

What's the big deal? So you've never seen any cars with the seats 'landed' on US soil. The guy is telling you he has ordered them 'from the factory' on the car for his clients here in the US and that they are available on the build sheet. Just because you haven't seen a car with the seats doesn't make it untrue. I think we all know from reading the various Lamborghini forums that the sport seats we are seeing in the Superleggera press cars are not available for ordering with the car for the US and are not on the build sheet as an option. But what you are saying that this is the same for the Murcie seats and that is not true. OK, I'm officially bored with this now

Then IF I TELL you the world is flat you believe that as well?

I never said he was not correct, just asked, BUT JUST cause he says so, does not make it so...I HAVE seen more than ONE Authorized Dealer Represenative be mistaken.

HOWEVER just to show I do follow up and DOUBLE check when an item comes into question... this is what I HAVE determined as fact..AS TOLD to me by two Authorized Dealers.

There are NO RACING SEATS for the Murcie. YOU can order "sport" seats for the Murcie, BUT ONLY in the coupe, not the Roadster. They ARE NOT a 5 point seat belt harness. Retail is approx $4900.00 FROM THE build sheet.

    Happy now...I hope so.

    MDRLAMBO,

I just reviewed ALL of your 7 posts. It IS QUITE clear that youappear to be associated with Lamborghini Sales.

    Is this correct?

Do you work for an "authorized" Dealer, or any other sales outlet for that matter?

Would you care to advise us all WHO you are?

Nothing to fear I am sure you have no problem with that?

    Do YOU?

I am here, MY NAME IS Roy L. Cats from Seattle, Wa. I am NOT an "Authorized" Lamborghini Dealer. I do sell used cars, visit my web site anytime at www.catsexotics.com

Man you need to take it easy, why do you have to lash out, so I have 7 posts. When did that become my credientials? I don't need or have to answer to you, but I will. Of course I'm associated with Lamborghini sales, I'm a customer I buy all my cars from LOC. I've known Michael for a long time in the Lamborghini world. We've gone on drives and events for years and now that he's at LOC he's the only one I trust, with his vast knowledge and experience. Even though I don't live close OC, they are the only people I work with, both with sales and service.

Ok, happy now? Unlike you, I don't post all the details of my entire life and day to day activities on the forums. Now go and obsess over something else.

Oh now I know why your panties (or should I say your thong) are in a twist. Because the original poster (250californiafan) called them 'racing' seats. Everyone knows there's no racing seats available for the Murcielago, Coupe or Roadster. I do believe that Michael did mention in his post the word 'sport' not racing. I can't believe that that one word has got you all fired up, maybe you should put down the coffee so you can read a bit slower so you don't miss any vital words. Can we all get back to work now?

Thank you, now we can at least Judge your Bias response...

One thing we do agree on.

LOC has great Service and Sells Great cars. I have no first hand knowledge of your friend Michael, so I can not comment on that...but I take your word for it he is OK in your books.

He mentioned sports seats, but thats not what we are talking about. The 1st post shows the seats we are talking about and he should know they aren't the sports seats. Thats his mistake, not Roys.

Nooo, those pictured are the optional 'sport' seats. There are NO racing seats available from the factory for the Murcielago, I thought we covered this.

Moderators, I am not going to respond to anymore of Roy's personal comments, just to the subject of the post.

When I said racing seats in the original post I did not know what to call them, but I see that they are called sport seats. I said racing seats as that is what the similar seats are called in Ferrari's. I in general was asking about the design. Sorry if my wording caused confusion.
