It will not be to hard for police to find them, just need to check for Verde Draco LP640, and I am sure they will find maximum two cars. BTW: I am not glad police is after those guys, but they are very close to going in jail.

WOW:eek: being there is only one of those cars around I am sure they are well aware of who it is.

Being aware of whose car it is means nothing, anyone could have been driving. That being said, it was a little crazy posting that video, but I did watch it from the edge of my seat :)

This stretch of freeway is a mile from my house. I travel it everyday, twice a day. Sometimes with my kids in the car.
Cool to see a car do that speed, but not on the public, open street.

It's a small town here, the driver will be caught rather quickly as in one of the videos he does show his face rather clearly and in the day light.

Not surprised. Not sure which is more dumb, attempting to travel well over 200mph on public roads and then daring someone at the end to beat it. Or video taping it. Pretty stupid any way you slice it.

In the end when he chalenges other to beat the record he is not masked or covered, he is just in the shade, and police have tools with wich they can render his face and see it clearly. Very stupid not wearing a mask or showing himself from the front.

So, someone smart enough to earn the money to buy this vehicle is stupid enough to film themselves (and show their face) in the commission of a crime? The world is an interesting place. :)

hopefully justice prevails, and the driver is given the painful execution he deserves.

how dare they drive fast in a straight line down a deserted highway at four in the morning! what would happen if a mini-van packed with orphans and nuns merged on to the highway with its lights off and they innocently moved into the fast lane for no real reason (you don't need a reason to be in the fast lane after all...) without signaling? WHAT WOULD HAPPEN THEN, MR SELFISH DRAGON GREEN ROCKET MAN?

    (think about the children)

this just goes to show how much we need speed cameras at every mile marker. traffic monitoring satellites. federally-mandated police immobilizers and a brave officer of the law with a radar gun sitting in the backseat of every road-going vehicle in america...and if it doesn't have a backseat and there's no room for him to sit then it obviously shouldn't be road legal!

giving humans control of multi-thousand-pound vehicles was never a good idea. i for one can't wait until all transportation is fully automated!

Sorry, but the driver would cover about 600 feet in 2 seconds at the speeds they are travelling. No need to pretend that it has to be a bus full of nuns driving slow to cause an accident. I would not want that fool on the highway when I am there. Maybe there is a piece of debris in the road and he does not see it, causing him to lose control and crash into whowever is in the right lane. I enjoy fast cars, but this guy is going to do some jail time. Maybe he can be a cellmate with Nick Bollea, they seem to have commonalitlies.

He's seen twice standing beside the car before the final 'boast' scene........

That kind of thing really lights off Law Enforcement, besides you can see a high number of oncoming cars...that's where he'd have gone should any tire/handling troubles present themselves..

    A friend of yours, Stackhouse???

    That's not him

Everyone knows who's car it is. I'd like to see them prove who was driving. The drivers face was never shown, and name never mentioned or shown. I personally think it was OJ Simpson driving.

Actually, the drivers face is shown. Along with that, there is a longer verison with some daylight shots in it. The drivers face is easily and clearly seen.

I'm interested to know what those of you posting in this thread feel the correct handling of this situation should be... these are a few options I thought of. Perhaps you have others?

    A. He did it and got away with it. Filming it was foolish, but we all speed.
    B. He did it and should get a ticket.
    C. He did it and should get a prison sentence.
    D. He did it and should get the car impounded.
    E. There's no proof the owner of the car did it, it could have been anyone, and there's nothing anyone can do.

Since I'm asking, I'll vote first. I'm somewhere between C and D. This is a pretty serious infraction in my book- others on the road at the time were potentially seriously endangered, and the party responsible needs to be taught a hard lesson that a ticket or fine would not adequately confer. This type of speed belongs on a track, and only on a track.
