I know of a few others on here that are taking the LSAT tomorrow. It's anxiety-inducing to realize that this combined 2 hours 55 minutes of test taking means more than 4 years of college!

I'm going to take a couple of logic problem sections tonight, but other than that, I'm done worrying about it. I'm consistently in the 171-172 range, despite considerable variance on individual section on separate tests.

I hope I perform well tomorrow!

I postponed until Dec. I know I can reliably pick up at least 6 points by then, and I'd much rather have the 6 points than the early app.

Good luck tomorrow! You'll do fine, and if you feel like you bombed it, consider canceling (sp?) the test.

Good luck. I don't understand the scoring. When I took it (1964) it was on the 800 system. What is a good score under the current system?

    GOOD LUCK ANDY!!

We're rooting for you. Ryan Z is taking too, I think.

    Art, now it's a 120-180 scale; old 800 = 180, 500 = 150 = 50th percentile.

A 160 is the 83rd percentile, which is the typical minimum for a top 25 school, the top 10 being around the 93rd percentile (165); The top 5 schools have averages of 167-170 (96th-98th percentile).

Law admissions is totally different now - it's so competitive to get in, that attrition of more than 3-5 students a year (in a whole starting class of hundreds) is very rare. Before, it was easier to get in, and 1/3 dropped out fast. Now, it's very difficult to get in, but everybody stays to finish.

Hey Ryan, how long was it before you got your scores back? I chose the email notification, of course. The wait is going to kill me.

Back in 02 it was only by phone, 3 weeks later. I got it Friday though, not the Saturday they said it would be. Dunno what waits are like now.

Well, I won't know how I did until October 25th, but I can say that was the most exhaustive test I have ever taken. By the end, my head was pounding, and my arm was shaking (making it difficult to do the writing response).

I feel like I probably scored 171 or 172, like I usually do.

Anyone else have any feedback on it?

interesting that you say that was by the end... I remember I was freaking for the beginning section, but then found a groove and was cruising through to the end.

Keep us posted on your score when you find out.

I never experience this much mental fatigue in preparation, either. However, when I take a practice LSAT, there are only four sections and no writing sample.

So given that on the real test, there is an additional 1 hour 5 minutes of stuff, AND there is real pressure, the fatigue is not unreasonable.

Wait till you take the bar. Then you'll understand time pressure, stress and arm shaking.

I was actually thinking about that yesterday. How long is the bar? Isn't it two or three DAYS?? I will look back then and BEG for another LSAT. :)
