This could be fun. I might participate with my other V-8.

On second thought I might not have the car ready. I guess I'll just enjoy the cars going by my window and take pictures.

I don't think that works here.

It doesn't matter if you only want to join the cruise, which is what I want to do. Look at some cars of the competition, there is no way in hell a Ferrari would win in the six trophies only concours.

BTW...I just saw a spot on 'ABC 7 News' about this Car Cruise for Tommorrow. And,typically, all they were showing were very Old Cars,Classics,The Typical "Cruise Night" Fare,Etc......(which,BTW,if anyone is interested....The Elmhurst Cruise Nite on Wednesdays has Started. So,I assume all of the other ones have, too.)

Looking outside my window I see tons of shiny chromed American irons cruising by. Everything from Studebakers to Corvettes and Cadillacs. Huge turnout.

Here some pictures from today. It was fun. I was the only Ferrari in the group although I didn't participate in the concours as my car is too young (would you believe it?). But enjoyed a spirited ride on LSD amongst car enthusiasts.

Tons of beautiful American Iron with some Euros interspersed (Porsche boxster replica, Merc and Volvo). My favourite was the De Tomaso and I got really lucky: A real Daytona race car from the original beach races and its driver Russ who was a lovely man. I told him about my "Daytona" and he got a kick out of that. The BW pics are him doing some sommersaults at the beach. And lived to tell.

Lots of race cars including the Le Mans winning Vettes. Enjoy the pics!

Love that "Stretched" MG....:) The Pantera, too. You really must appreciate the Intestinal Fortitude of those Old Guys who used to Race those old cars back in the day. Fast as hell....Drum Brakes all around...BIG....Heavy-Asss....Manual Steering.....Man,that would probably give you more of a "Rush" than driving a Modern car.

Yup. The old NASCAR car had a roll cage and lap belts. And a chain from door to door to keep them closed. Scarry.

Scarry is also the weather outside right now. Pitch black and thunder and lightning. I wonder what all those open convertibles at the car show are doing right now?

Hopefully the weather gods are on our side tomorrow.
