    Montezemolo happy with driver line-up

Luca di Montezemolo insists Ferrari is not having second thoughts about its driver line-up.

After Renault's Fernando Alonso won the Singapore and Japanese Grand Prix against the odds, the Ferrari president was asked if he looked at Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa and wondered if they were the best selection for F1's most famous team.

"These types of thoughts we had four years ago, now we are very happy," di Montezemolo is quoted as saying by La Gazzetta dello Sport.

"We are working on the title with a different driver to our champion of last year," he explained, "and both of them are delivering to us the manufacturers' title."

"If there is one aspect with which we have no problems, it is our drivers," Montezemolo said. "When Raikkonen was having a difficult time in the second part of the season, Massa was in extraordinary form."

Montezemolo, and his FOTA deputy John Howett, met with FIA President Max Mosley in Geneva on Tuesday, where they agreed a raft of cost-cutting measures for F1.

"We have agreed to meet again after Brazil to discuss the chassis rules for 2010 onwards," he said. "And further cost cuts."

    What is he smoking????
Kimi already made it public that he doesn't care who wins the WDC??!!How can you say something like that when one of your teamates is fighting for the title?!
If it wasn't for Massa amd him finishing second in the last race last year, Kimi would not have been able to call himself a WDC!!!
They both may be great guys but they are deffinitelly not consistent and cannot develop the car. Ferrari has not being able to win on the track since Valencia -that's 5 races without a win!! The performance is slowly going down. If Luca did not forced Schumacher to leave the guy would easily score two more championships--after last year Alonso-Hamilton fight and this year Massa-Hamilton comedy of errors.
Ferrari need Alonso!!!!Kimi just don't care about the team....No passion, no heart....

What and Fernando does? he's already shown that he'll cause trouble if his teammate is doing better than him. If the team starts to struggle, then he'll jump to another one demanding number 1 status. If he doesn't get it, he'll make huge waves. Fernando has shown that he's every bit as selfish, if not more, than any one else.

    The Dream Team:

    Ferrari
    Kubica
    Alonso

with Massa testing and Kimi relaxing on the beach with a drink in his hand.

Then, let them fight it out until one is clearly in the lead.

Why Alonso and Kubica? Both have shown they can drag around second class machinery to be competitive. Imagine what they could do running with the best.

To Massa I would use the line from the movie "Grand Prix":

Sr. Mannetti: "There are less than 20 people in the world qualified to drive formula one. Only a hand full who can become world champion. Right now, I believe you are NOT one of them...."

i think on long term, the team should focus on Ice Kube and Vettel.
