Need relay advice - the original is lucas 6a 33231 F. It has C1,C2,C4,W1,W2. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login I found this very similar relay- it has a extra C2 post. Will it work? Clearly I'm still learning about relays - Image Unavailable, Please Login
You need to check the wiring diagram of that relay, I doubt it will work and maybe completely different inside.
Lucas 33356 is specified as a double contact relay, looks good. You can ignore the extra post on C2. I think it will work but to be sure you need to get access to it and test it. Using a Multimeter in resistance (ohm) mode, measure the resistance between C2 and C4, if there is no resistance (open contact), then measure the resistance between C1 and C2 as well as between C1 and C4. If there is no resistance (contact) between the terminals in the tests above then it should work as replacement. All measurements done with just the unwired relay, no power applied.
